How about seller address aka return address so we dont have to beg the seller for return address?
If a seller wants to be in business of selling,he/she has to show an address on the order page.
Dont tell me it is security reason, the seller can always take out insurance on house content/

You have got to be kidding. No way would I give my address out to just anyone. I have only had to give it out rarely and certainly would not give it out as a matter of course. Sure, you can get insurance, but that can't replace family memories and treasured collections. It is hard enough to protect personal information as it is - no need to make it easier for the occasional customer who wants to cause trouble.

Rent a Post Office Box, or a box at the UPS Store. The cost is minimal, and would be considered a business expense.

A PO box is ok for a seller not so good for a buyer. A lot of sellers refuse to ship to POB's.
As a buyer and POB user I may counter by refusing to buy from sellers who use a POB.
This year I have bought maybe 3 things on eBay so my counter doesn't carry a lot of weight.

I looked into renting a mail box at some mail dropoff place in my neighborhood,I am not close to any post office.
But these mail box drop off places change hands often from one immigrant to another who quickly become illusioned that it is not a profitable business.
What if it shuts down and I have some packages with them?
AMZN is making arrangements to have storage boxes in metro areas allover the country so your AMZN shipments could be sent to these places and you can go there and pickup these packages with a key .
no need to make special trip to post office, ask forrescheduling with your carriers.

I must be missing something here. Isn't the return address on the package?

Yes,the return address is on the package, but sometimes we dont keep the package ,dont forget now we have 14 days return .
Also the return address on the package may not be the same as the one the seller registered with Ebay, sometimes the name is different.
Like a father in law asked his son to sell for him but father in law does the shipping.
also we may get multiple packages in one day and the names on the package is not the seller ID on the ebay page,it could even have different city, state and zip code.
