Here is a Wall Street Journal article by Bernie Sanders, a Vermont Senator.
The article is posted on Sen. Sanders web site.
"Save the Postal Service"
"Whether you are a low-income elderly woman living at the end of a dirt road in Vermont or a wealthy CEO living on Park Avenue, you get your mail six days a week. And you pay for this service at a cost far less than anywhere else in the industrialized world."

USPS should know better to save itself!
Like Bestbuy,RADIO Shack,Quizmo Sandwich, they either swim or drown.
Think of all the railroad companies which went bellyup years ago and those who sell hoola hoops.

As usual Lost is lost..What in H--- do Hoolu hoops have in common with the USPS??? Bernie happens to be my Senator and has many good ideas most sadly get squashed by the political establishment in DC.

people who sell hoopla hoops ended up with inventory they can sell when hoola hoops go out of style.
Now they said radio shackes stock items most people dont care or need, they go to Bestbuy or AMZN.
QUIZmO sandwich ,I think Subway came out with 5 ft long ,dont know the details.
NO business is smooth going, you just have to foresee what is ahead and plan for the best, too many retirees, too few people mailing letters, gas goes up,terrorism.
Dont think selling on internet is easy, easy money was over long ago.

I'm convinced LOST refuses to read or accept the problems faced by USPS. For over a year I have clearly stated the problem facing the post office.
Again, Bernie Sanders is reiterating exactly what I have said... but LOST continues to ignore the facts.
USPS would be operating at a 1 billion dollar surplus IF Congress hadn't passed legislation requiring them to pre-fund a retirement program by 75 years in advance.
LOST your examples of struggling businesses has to do with competition and the consumer's desire to buy goods elsewhere. Show me a company in the USA that is funding a retirement program for people who aren't even born yet? I'm serious about that.

One solution would be to make USPS self managed instead of having congressional oversight... but I can see how easily it would to buy off or install a Postmaster General who's goal is to kill off the Post Office.
