I was buying an item off of ebay to have shipped directly to my grand daughter. I used an alternate gift address I have used a few times before. It ships that particular order to the alternate address, and the next time I purchase something, it goes back to my address.
NOT ANY MORE!!!!
EBay's split with Pay pal has brought up a host of bugs. This is really maddening because paypal has created a computer wall to prevent you from getting any kind of human help.
1. when you send an item to an alternate address, it stays now with that alternate "gift" address.
2. There is no way to change the alternate address under my account, because all you get is YOUR home address, there is no access to the alternate address except sometimes at paying for a new item.
3. Pay pal, after fighting automatic answering system to "keep you out", the pay pal phone person deleted my "gift" address and told me the problem was fixed. HE LIED!! the next day, it sent my purchases to the "deleted address".
4. The person told me that the only way you can change the address back is when you pay for your next item. HE LIED AGAIN. I have the short cut auto payment, and there is no address listed when you buy a new item.
Paypal is certainly screwed up, and they don't even know how to fix it themselves.

I am not sure what you meant by your comment. Paypal has admitted there is a problem and gave my account a $60 credit for pointing it out to them and to pay for the shipping from the guest address to my address.
Kind of surprised me.
