I am sorry to report that a frequent poster on this board a few years ago, Roadsmith, passed on August 20th of covid-19 related illness. I met her a couple of times in California IRL and really enjoyed her. RIP Roadsmith!

Thank you for letting us know, Neglus. What incredibly sad news!
I remember Roadsmith very well from the days these message boards were more active. She always had a kind word and would go out of her way to help anyone that needed it. As a moderator I was not often able to participate in discussions, but always enjoyed reading her posts. Her presence on these message boards made my life better, as I'm sure it did for others here (and that were here in the past). There must be so many lives that she touched positively in real life as well.

Thank you so much for that post, Nathan. It was so well stated. It's nice to know that you noticed us all back in those days! I really miss the "water cooler" we found here. I learned so much! I know that conversations could sometimes get heated but I think there was a sense of camaraderie that is missing now a days. Good to hear from you, even if it on such a sad note.

Thank you for the update, Mary Ann.
Although I lurked more than posted, I also enjoyed the water cooler immensely and remember those who gathered around it. I learned a lot from everyone here.

So sorry to hear about Adele
I posted a photo of myself and my husband once and she commented that it reminded her of herself and her husband.
She was always one of my favorites.
