The Truth?? Whose truth is that, yours, mine, his, her's.
Let's get down to reality here. This whole thing of "opinions" and "truth" is a little ridiculous. No matter what we say here, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans. In a few years or so, the problems we are arguing about probably won't even exist. Take a look at World War II. Millions of people lost their lives and countries were destroyed. For what, those same countries rebuilt better than they were and the former enemies are our allies now. A little too much emphasis on opinions and truth, and a little too much time is being wasted here. It's all futile. Thirty years or less and most of us will be pushing up daisies and we wasted our breath here.
Think about it.

OK, so I'll say good bye. I've got better things to do for awhile. In parting I will tell you about an email I received a couple of days ago. It was from a person who rarely posts here and who would be the last person that you thought would say this.
It said to the effect, why waste your time?

I'll tell you what is with my mood, Etex.
I am angry that our president uses bully tactics to get his way,like a spoiled child who will win his way even if he has to knock every other kid on the head to get it.
I'm angry that we have a president who totally disregards the opinions of half of our population.
I am angry that our country is torn in half and that we are no longer strongly united.
I am angry that we are spending all of our resources and manpower over in Iraq, while our Power plants and Water Plants go unprotected as well as our borders and other homeland security measures which should be our first priority..
I'm angry that I have to listen to Republicans gloat that their party is in charge and to hell with the rest of us..calling us traitors and Un-American because we dare have differing opinions..

Etex.. from your last post..I can only come to the conclusion that it is a waste of time here unless people agree with you? It isn't a waste of time.. I feel like I have learned a great deal from the opinions of others and I like to think that I have an open mind and can benefit from hearing all sides of an argument.
Maybe you have less to learn than I do though and that's why you feel it's a waste of time.
I've enjoyed your posts as I have those of everyone else who posts here. We are not here to try and change anyone's opinions.. just to be able to state our own.. no hard feelings I hope... MM

No Democrat who might oppose you on this board has the "IQ of a rock". So, when you fill in the blank don't leave your own name out of the running. In fact, on the conservative side of the fence there are a number of candidates who would easily qualify.
