I don't begrudge you any money from FEMA, Bear..

The only question is how did you get them to pay for the purchase of a generator when you told me you already had one before the hurricane..LOL

Never mind...I'm just teasing ya.. you didn't have insurance, that's why they allowed your claim...if you'd been insured they'd have told you the same thing as they did us...your insurance should cover your losses..

We're okay.. it will take a while to get our repairs and building done.. but we were luckier than most..

Dblf,
I just sold a couple of belt buckles on Ebay and they were nice ones. One sold for $16 with 4 bids and the other sold for $8.50 with 2 bids, kinda disappointed me, allthough one came out of the trash on one of my dumpster diving forays so i can't complain too much. I hope yours do better.

Hi pi, yes, that is about the range I have been watching them at. If even only one or two sell at 8.00 I will have recouped my investment and made a profit so I am not worried. I have a series called the Great Amercian Belt Buckle heritage series (or some such - cant remember off hand) but it comes on this plaque and my only doubts are whether to sellit as a set or sell them seperatly. Cowboy boots and gear made a big comeback this fall. Perhaps I will get so stymied about it and not sell them at all!! Or maybe I will throw them all on there for 99 cents and shoot sh* to the wind and let the bidders have a ball - all depends on how I feel at the moment!

Pi, do you really do dumpster-diving? I was thinking about that not to long ago after I saw that report on germs on the tv. I was thinking to myself I dont know if I will buy things from the flea market anymore as I think alot of the dealers get stuff from dumpsters and what-not. Even thrift stores are starting to creep me out lately. I brought something home from one and there were spiders in the box. I dont think I am going to do this much longer.

And I guess you've never heard of French Canadian?

It took you a couple of months to realize that.

Yes most of the people in Canada speak either French or English. If you remember correctly it was you who said they speak CANADIAN.

"PRESS 1 FOR CANADIAN"

CANADIAN IS NOT A LANGUAGE, STUPID.

Don't you remember the list of languages around the world. CANADIAN is not on that list as a language. How soon you forget.

oh brilliant antiquer big-peepa, go tell ebay about how .99 cent er's are a waste of time. And I suppose you find the best brightest and most wonderful of antiques and collectibles in a museum right? talk about a con-phoney! I bet your ads really lay it on thick too. this came out of the metropolitan museum of art where its been stored for 200 years! More like aunt suzie's attic or a restored piece of burned out rotted something from a salvage sale.

Heck yeah i do dumpster diving but you gotta be careful with it. I only dive in, what i would call clean dumpsters, even though they all are dirty to some extent but some are cleaner than others. I won't dive in one behind a restaurant, grocery store or convienence store etc. but some like behind Target, Walmart, Sears or other department stores or small retailers i do.

The stuff that i find, i clean it up before listing it and i allways carry a bottle of hand sanitiser with me when i go dumpster diving to clean my hands with.

My very first Ebay sale came out of a dumpster. It was a pair of old fire helmets and they sold for, i can't remember, i think $260 and i was happy with that.

You can find all kinds of packing material also like styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap etc.

I also carry an old broomstick pole that has a kook on one end and a loop of rope on the other so i don't really have to get inside the dumpster. Try it you might like it.

Take your Hubby with you Dblf, it's something you can do together then. He can hold you up by your ankles and move you around upside down inside the dumpster and then you won't miss anything that way.

bigpeepa, you dont know a damn* thing about me, my values, my outlooks or my decisions for ebay selling. Why dont you show me where I wave a conservative capitalist banner? God you are so blinded by your own rage, you dont even know what I post here.

Go take a sleeping pill and go to bed already. You obviously dont sleep too well on your own. I'd rather sell three small things for eight dollars, than none zero zip out of the 60 - 500 dollar listings put up by the likes of such "democrat - I care about everybody, except myself" I am a big peepa antiquer azzhole like you.

oh and dennis-de-minus in pa, we all know what you sell, sweet cakes, - just nobody gives a ratz azz.

99 cents can be lucrative as JayandMarie have demonstrated on Ebay. But you have to sell a ton of stuff to make any money and also deal with the idiot "bottom feeders".

This is true classic. You will work harder at it. Unless you do auto relists, etc.,but imo, its the cumulative amount that matters at the end of the month, not each per item sale.

You ever go to the grocery store and think youre buying all inexpensive stuff? 1.99 on this, 3.99 on that, 5.99 on this - by the time they ring up your cart, you've spent 75 dollars or better, and all the while youre thinking oh its only 1.99 or whatever.

I've seen some sellers with pages and pages of listings, and they've got one bid on their lowest priced item. I dont know how they survive the slow sales periods. To me, it looks like their listing fees have to be taking a big chunk out of what they do sell.

What does that have to do with me? Or, for that matter, with this thread?

You are such an bumble-head!! - Has anybody ever taught you any style? You jump right in on some posts between Pi and me to get your rage out about conservatives?? wth is that?

There's a place in the world for the angry old man With his working class ties and his radical plans He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl, He's always at home with his back to the wall. And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost, And he struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross-And he likes to be known as the angry old man. Give a moment or two to the angry old man, with his foot in his mouth and his heart in his hand. He's been stabbed in the back, he's been misunderstood, it's a comfort to know his intentions are good. And he sits in a room with a lock on the door, With his maps and his medals laid out on the floor..And he likes to be known as the angry old man. And there's always a place for the angry old man, With his fist in the air and his ead in the sand. And he's never been able to learn from mistakes, So he can't understand why his heart always breaks. But his honor is pure and his courage as well, And he's fair and he's true and he's boring as hell-And he'll go to the grave as an angry old man.

DBL. found several older llama pistols this weekend, none of which had the same logo as yours.

Hope your auctions with them are going well.

Maggie, I told the inspector I had purchased the generator "just in case" of a power outage during Rita.

He told me it didn't matter. If I used it during the Rita caused outage, I was eligable for a refund.

Yeah it took me a while to figure out how dumb you really are, but you already knew that from your childhood.

So how many years did you believe the people of Canada spoke Canadian?
