Trouble is V Fox made a law last year that gave Mexicans who are US citizens Mexican citizenship as well with full voting rights and the right to own land in Mexico. Must be confusing for them.

Not exactly. First of all, the President of Mexico doesn't make laws any more that the President of the U.S. does. Second, you are confusing citizenship with nationality. Previously, a person born in Mexico, and hence a Mexican national and also usually a citizen, lost his nationality, but not his citizenship if he became a citizen of any other country. The change in the law introduces dual nationality, not citizenship. Nationals do not have have voting rights, period. Also, anyone, even you, can own property by fee simple title in Mexico, unless it is property within about 30 miles of the border or the coastline. In that case, a citizen of another country must enter into what is called a Fideicomiso, which is a trust made with a Mexican bank which becomes the defacto owner of the land, while the non-citizen owns the attachments to the land. A Fideicomiso is a 30 year trust, renewable 3 times and may be left to any legal heir in an estate.

Not very complicated.

You can display ANY flag you damn well please in your house, your business, yard, etc.

In ANY government building, school, etc the ONLY flag should be the American flag and restrictions on IT should never be made for any kind of pc, "defusing" effect or waterever.

If a bunch of illegal aliens riot because an American flag is in place in an American school and not theirs, well, that's why police have clubs, and if necessary, bullets.

classic, I don't know for sure, but I'm sure it originally had something to do with protecting borders. It's a very old law. There are several bills in the Mexican legislature now to change the law to allow non-citizens to own land anywhere in the country. The powers that be know full well that it's foreign investment that's driving the development of their seacosts, and that more foreign moola will flow in as soon as fee simple title to land is available everywhere. I'd say it's only a matter of time. 10 years, tops.

DrArcane- "Your religion argument just doesn't work."

Whose comments are you addressing, and how do you figure that statement to be true?

"All these groups have to share the country and respect each other's rights. What is the one things all the groups above have in common? They are AMERICANS."

Ok, I have absolutely no arguement that they are Americans and should respect each other's rights, religions, etc. However, can you please explain to me how you would accomodate each and everyone of those religions in a school setting, or any government building for that matter? How do you address the fact that one religion may promote cutting open a chicken and drinking its blood as a spiritual prayer, yet a Catholic may simply kneel, put their hands together and say a prayer? How do you address the public that practicing Santaria, Voodoo, or a Native American culture that uses Peyote as a religious rite is acceptable on government property? Is it ok? Because if everybody had a right to practice their religion in the open, on government property without any scrutiny... I would support a Constitutional Amendment allowing it. But you simply cannot say that one religious practice is allowed, and others are not. That would be descrimination.

As I said previously... I have no problem with anybody practicing their religion. I don't care if the President wants a Christmas tree in the Whitehouse b/c they are Christian. I would be interested to see the direction that office would take if say a jew or muslim became President and didn't want a Christmas tree in the White House. I could care less that a worker in City Hall decorates their office with Crucifixes. I just don't think the government has any business paying for it, promoting it, or setting it up. The government isn't your outlet for a plastic nativity set or a minora. If you want those, put it in your yard, in your home, or your church. Go for it, have a ball.

Jack,

This is the way these PC bs artists get by. I would've walked into the nearest local newspaper and told my story. If it were published you KNOW there'd be a ruckus.

Miss PC might even lose her job and Helen and Peepa would have something to post about.

Posted just for a giggle.

It was the first day of school and a new student named
Pedro Martinez, the son of a Mexican
restaurateur,entered the fourth grade.

The teacher said, "Let's begin by reviewing some
American history.

"Who said 'Give me Liberty, or give me Death?' "
She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Pedro, who
had his hand up.

"Patrick Henry, 1775."

"Very good!" apprised the teacher. "Now, who said,
"Government of the people, by the people, for the
people, shall not perish from the earth?"

Again, no response except from Pedro: "Abraham
Lincoln, 1863."

The teacher snapped at the class, "Class, you should
be ashamed!
Pedro, who is new to our country, knows more about its
history than you do!"

She heard a loud whisper: "Screw the Mexicans!"
"Who said that?" she demanded.

Pedro put his hand up. "Jim Bowie, 1836."

At that point, a student in the back said, "I'm gonna
puke." The teacher glared and asked, "All right! Now,
who said that?"

Again, Pedro answered, "George Bush to the Japanese
Prime Minister,
1991."

Now furious, another student yelled, "Oh yeah? Suck
this!"

Pedro jumped out of his chair waving his hand and
shouting to the teacher, "Bill Clinton to Monica
Lewinsky, 1997!"

Now, with almost a mob hysteria, teacher said, "You
little #*!@.
If you

say anything else, I'll kill you!"

Pedro frantically yelled at the top of his voice,
"Gary Condit to Chandra Levy, 2001."

The teacher fainted, and as the class gathered around
her on the floor, someone said, "Oh #*!@, we're in BIG
trouble now!"

Pedro whispered, "Saddam Hussein, 2003."

Finally someone throws a eraser at Pedro, someone
shouted "Duck"!
Teacher, just waking, asked "Who said that?

Pedro: Dick Cheney 2006!
**************

Some minds are like concrete,
thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.
