I'm glad we're talking about Fox. Bill O'Reilly occasionally tries hard to ask a mean question of a conservative but fails. He really has shown his stripes, I must say.
I really don't care whether Fox is conservative or middle of the road or liberal; what I do care about is their calling themselves "fair and balanced." Are they ashamed of being conservative? What could be stopping them from just coming right out and bragging about their conservative leanings? I do not understand.
And I've completely stopped watching O'Reilly and the rest of his minions.

It has gotten so that in order to just watch the news or read the paper you have to "pick sides" . I used to really enjoy the news.

Its odd that there is all of this concern over one news station being conservative leaning. Where is all of the concern over all of the other networks leaning to the left? And most of the media for that matter...

Perhaps the slogan refers to the fact that they add the balance to all of the other liberal news outlets. It sure does show the level of someone's intelligence when they want to "pick" they're news sources so that they are only indoctrinated with what they want to hear. Without hearing all sides of an issue, you are most certainly missing the entire meaning of something. But then, it must be nice to remain bliss...

"they want to "pick" they're news sources so that they are only indoctrinated with what they want to hear".
As opposed to wishing to be indoctrinated by all sources?

Yes, well, they don't distribute the Michigan State prison newsletter nationally, so far as I know. And I'll bet you've never seen an issue of the Independent Journal, eh? Think what you're missing? Oh right, sorry, you don't know what you're missing while in your nice state of uninformed bliss.

CityPaper had expanded its distribution over the past few years. It's usually findable at businesses which want to seem vaguely counter-cultural... e.g. Tower Records. (They've also figured out that if they distrubute enough to last beyond Thursday afternoon, they'll get more readers )
..and Fox news is to conservative republicans as TASS was to the Politburo.
