Seems to have survived review.

KRS,
I know exactly what you mean. I have wondered if that's what my doctor has thought. But how do you prove to them you really are in that much pain when they can't test it? Yes, the exercises do help, but only if I can move enough to do them in the first place. Besides, I think what's going on is I have a lot of soft tissue damage and that takes a long time to heal. In the meantime I'm in a lot of pain from it. Maybe it's because I'm younger that he is so reluctant...We'll see what transpires Friday.
He does know my diagnosis (he's not the diagnosing doctor), but when he says it, it's almost as if he thinks the diagnosis is a crock. Hey, I didn't make it up, another doctor said that's what my problem is! At least they finally came up with a diagnosis after over a year, tons of doctor visits and many tests. The doctor that did finally diagnose me was upset with the fact that the other doctors miss this particular problem all the time when it's rather obvious.

Ask him what he thinks. Doctors are often critical of the work of other doctors and don't take well to having their treatments dictated by the diagnosis of another.

That could be a possibility, I hadn't thought of that. But I thought the pain management doctor was very graceful in trying not to step on his toes by letting him do the prescribing with the pain management doctor's suggestions. I see him again Friday, I will feel him out and see what happens. If he gets more resistant, I'll just have to deal directly with the pain management doctor. I don't have time to pussyfoot around about it now, I have to look for a new job! And what company is going to want to hire me if I have a pained look on my face and walk around like I'm 80 years old all the time??
Thanks Muriel! {{{{big warm sloppy hug right back at ya! }}}}
