bidsbids,

This comment is pretty close to the line because you are speaking of people that are posting in this forum:

The cheerleaders are as boring as the sell through numbers dialogue

I'm an actively involved SELLER at BIdVille...

I am not a warehouser, nor a am I a multiple (99 times) re-lister that never follows her auctions. I am not a BidVille Cheerleader, BUT if I am called one while attempting to deflect the negativity and constant slamming with reference to BidVile... So be it. Afterall, you are now labelled BidVille Bashers and fair is fair (You know who you are).

I resent the fact that there are a few people here who seem to have taken on the mission of slandering ONE good small site. It was the first thing I noticed when I began following the threads.... NO ONE could say ANYTHING GOOD about BidVille without having to endure an IMMEDIATE NEGATIVE RESPONSE from one of these characters. It makes me wonder how often BidVille would dominate the threads here if all of these trouble-makers were just suddenly GONE.
Thanks for putting us on the map fella's!

Have a great night!

I just have to comment on the "Warehousing" issue. I became a member at Bidville January 18th. I spend close to $5,000.00 a year on my card collecting hobby. I do list my sportcards for 5 days, with a 99 relist. I have sold 999 sportcards with a $1.05 average sale. I have close to 300 cards listed. So that means the cards aren't sitting around long enough for a warehouse effect. I have to admit after selling only 83 cards for June, I thought we were having a political slump. But I came to the conclusion that it is summer time, where vacations, flea markets, yard sales, and numerous competitve auction sites play in to the end results. But I also believe that if Bidville ever decides to advertise, then a business increase will be delightful. I guess it isn't to bad of a place considering those elements. Hillbilly

Richhillbilly... I have nothing against Warehousing duplicate items. I personally do not do it at BidVille for a couple of reasons. (I will spare you. hehe)

I hate going to a site for the first time and seeing mostly empty categories. I don't think there's a thing wrong with relisting to infinity as long as your items are moving. It fattens up the auction site and is no doubt GOOD.

It has been my experience however, that rethinking an auction (ie: wording, price or category adjustments, rotation of featured items, etc) often brings new life to a seemingly dead item, and offers Buyers a little variety when frequently browsing favorite categories.

Just wanted you to understand my comments were more echoes of the BidVille Bashers than of my own personal opinion about how anyone at BidVille does or does not run their auctions. Just a little tired of all the generalizations made here.

The fact that so many GOOD Sellers got sick of Yahoo & eBay and ended up at BidVille via word of mouth is as amazing as the cooperation that was seen during the $1-Sale.

We got the Cream of the Crop Seller's from BOTH giants. That is the secret of what will be BidVille's future success and a lot of people including myself recognize it.

cuff, I was responding to the earlier Bidville Bashers posts on the warehousing effect. I have noticed that it has quieted down a bit. I guess we have to restrict ourselves also. LOL!!! I've never posted at a place that has a moderator. I think it is pretty cool. I noticed one guy posted yesterday evening and had his rug jerked out from under him in a swift manner. But he also has been suspended from Bidville on numerous occasions. But he always comes back. I think he gluttons for punishment. LOL!!! See ya! Hillbilly
