A few bidville "cheerleaders" are violating the rules and AW is going to lock the thread? That is what they want. Get rid of those that cannot control themselves...

Or, if you want to take the gloves off and face your adversaries, c'mon over to that other place, reveal your ID there, and talk it up
There's already been several threads, with several hundred messages, at AuctionWatch. The participants here at AuctionWatch are the same as those "over there," so clearly the motive is to learn my userID at Bidville.
Lock it already! It has served it's purpose ... Ipso fatso, there is NO topic
This illustrates that there's no real interest in discussion. And its therefore not a motive to learn my userID at Bidville, its becoming an obcession.
Let me add that I always to help folks. So I did a search for beachballs on Bidville and found ZERO, but eBay has quite a few. Perhaps one of them will fit your needs.
I'd hope this thread remains open, so that others can discuss whether Bidville should suspend those users who continue running $1-SALE auctions?

"Should Bidville suspend those users who continue running $1-SALE auctions?"
If the rules were established by Bidville and if they were purposely violated, perhaps a warning to the violators would suffice ... same as the other sites (except Yahoo) do. Maybe 3 strikes and your're out kind of idea.
If the rules were established by a seller (wallypog) and Bidville merely provided a banner, no ... there should be no warnings or suspensions. It's pretty hard to legislate ignorance.

The terms and conditions of the $1-SALE were written by a seller, AND ENDORSED BY BIDVILLE which sent this e-mail to all users:
Monday July 2nd is the last day for the Bidville $1-Sale. You can still bid on over 5000 items with $1 starting bids and no reserve prices. If you haven't checked it out, you could be missing some really great stuff. Just go to Bidville and click on the $1-Sale logo from the home page. See you there!
Suspension is one route. But issuing warnings and then deleting those "incorrect" listings if problematic seller's fail to change or delete them would accomplish the same thing.

Hmmm ... I have three separate Bidville memberships and I don't recall getting that email on any of them. Of course, it may have gone directly to the SPAM bins like all the other stuff these auction sites send me!
"Monday July 2nd is the last day for the Bidville $1-Sale."
That's pretty clear to me dim.

Even eBay doesn't do that! (maybe Bidville should start a "$1 Sale VeRO Program" to bust those varmits and scoundrels)
Anyway, I would think that Ed's time would be better spent trying to deal with the proliferation of bootleg and pirated videotapes, DVDs, CDs and computer software that is showing up on his site, rather than trying to deal with a few sellers who want to make an extra 10 cents by violating a member derived sale rule.
Apparently he doesn't want to deal with either though.
For future "sales", I wonder if there is a way the site could automatically end all applicable auctions at midnight on D-Day?
I still don't believe this should be categorized as either fraud or misrepresentation though. Those are pretty harsh accusations and you can see the results. You, youself, are afraid to defend these terms over there

bidville staff only agreed to sponser the $1-sale with a banner add on the front page for a limited time. They never said all sales had too end on a certain date. Agrees wth hillbilly and others, some people need to get a life WHINE! WHINE WHINE!! Grow the heck up and realize Bidville not going away like that. Thinks a paticular person need to apply for a job with greedbay, he good at bashing

Let me see if I understand this correctly.
The terms and conditions for participating in the $1-SALE were really only suggestions?
The e-mail sent by Bidville that stated July 2 was the last day to bid on $1-SALE items, was also really only a suggestion?
So then there's really nothing wrong with those $1-SALE auctions that had reserves. After all, that was only a suggestion too, right?

If you think about it, everything about Bidville is a suggestion. An undeclared suggestion that fees must be be levied someday, a suggestion that some kind of advertizing will be used to promote the site, a suggestion that the search engine will have a description search someday, a suggestion of user verification someday, ad naseum ( I like ad naseum ).

I have a suggestion of my own. Dimview and Bidsbids can start their own auction site. Call it www.dimbids.com, The Site for Whiners.

Deichen, I just checked dictionary.com and both our spellings are acceptable. Now if you like to correct spelling, you can have a field day at Lonely Town's message center.

Geez - another Moderator warning!
Marty, et al ... why can't you folks see that this entire thread has been designed to stir up crap? AW is not the place for this type of discussion, and I suspect if you let it continue, you will eventually moderate out everyone who has participated, except of course, the originator who seems to have special AW priviledges.
