Happy Friday the 13th!!! My lucky number and lucky day!
I am listing my auctions for the 7 days, as I don't want them all to end on the same day. I am using the pre-lister, but only have a couple auctions up, so far. I am so PUMPED for this sale! Good Luck everyone!!!!

Another benefit of having the CRAZY DAYZ pre-listing just occurred to me. Every participant putting up stuff right now reflects a new listing, not the old listings that dominated another site's event because the identifying TAG was simply tacked onto existing auctions.
CRAZY DAYZ, doing it right, with 110 participants now.
posted on July 13, 2001 12:28:12 PM newHow are you approaching CRAZY DAYZ as an auction seller in terms of auction duration? The choices are 2, 3, 5, 7 or 14 day auctions, with no relistings. Since a 14-day auction will cause all the sales to come on the sale's last day, I'm considering putting my own items up as 7-day auctions and re-listing (manually) those that don't sell the first time around.
Thats probably a good way to go about it Dim. Unfortunately I'll be on holiday for most of it, so I can't participate as a seller this time around, but I've been doing some promoting & graphics stuff to help out. I'm actually doing something else, but I'm not allowed to talk about it here because I might be violating the CG, but I have the same user ID there, so its not too hard to find out what it is.
Thinking about it, if I *were* selling this time I'd run the 7 day with the manual relist, I think you're on to something there...

That *really* is different! The pageviews are already up there and I'm sure they'll be checking back at the appointed hour.

I've had a few minutes today to browse through some of the items up for auction in the Crazy Dayz sale - there are a lot of great buys out there, just waiting to be scooped up! Well, enough chit-chat, time for me to get back to bidding - 5 bids down, and more to go......

it's no secret that epier was a struggling site until ebay nixed the nazi items then it seems like most went there, however epier has cancelled nazi sales I have listed and they seem to have a new and novel fee each week, when I complained that competitors were being alowed to sell the same items
I was told to ''check ebay's rules '' I was told this in person by a epeier employee who answered the phone, I have news for epier if you want to act just like ebay there is no reason for sellers to stay at a smaller site, right now I'm hoping they wake up, it's a nice site with potential, but I will not refer anyone there, I will not give them any more money and I will not list any new auctions there until they quit biting the hand that feeds them.!

Hey Relayer
It doesn't look like the fighting has stopped. I was just browsing today and the board is filled with unhappy people. Especially people whose auctions Epier has cancelled. Seems like the same old to me.

Sorry, checked again and *still* don't see complaints, just chat and "shameless plugs" about the CRAZY DAYZ sale.
AuctionWatch's CGs do not allow for direct links, etc. to other chatboards, so we have to be somewhat "cloudy" in discussing it, so that very well be why I can't find it too.

VERY SAD,,,they blew a great idea...this is very disappointing...i see yes, clicked on the coffee cup...gee i don't blame you for being very upset,,,all that work you & many others did...i left a while back also & others too..just not worth the upset & no $$$...
i need to pay bills too good luck to you...

hi,gee i am almost afraid to say LOL...
actually i am really interested in WHEN the free list day will be at EHAMMER?gee seems i have seen informational postings here about that lots of time..the cool thing is checking here at auctionwatch we learn things.also ehammer gives a few days notice which is totally thoughtful..
I have tried ehammer on & off on free list days for a couple years..gee for antiques & collectibles i sell i was shocked at the good hits & sales..real sales there..they are really growing, one of my customers just signed up there today..wish they would sell stock LOL...anyway..when everyone left yahoo many BIDDERS stayed..so i do a little of that too & gee that was a surprise too..Pretty darn good!.also the free ebay store dealy now too.a few things to support little new sites too but gee awfully confusing..being on too many..
I am starting to feel like my mom & granny were right.."you get what you pay for" but in this militaria case..gee they did pay!& with no notice..now cancelled & new rules again with No notice?that is not really nice..hope we all have a great holiday season after this summer we will be well rested..

epier seems intent on compounding these mistakes, now they have issued a policy after the fact, reminds me of Nixon. Decide Now alternative auction site or just some guys who want ebay's money ?

Gee Relay is on vacation,,,did he have esp when he named this thread Lots of excitement
on ePier?...well,,not the kind he hoped for anyway..
I feel the auctions were never Epier's agenda, the pay service always was,,,jmo
that is why no advertising,no replies to many support inquirys etc..
afraid now all that is left is a flaming chat..
too bad these sites don't have volunteer sellers to give them pointers from the beginning..people that have never experienced selling have no clue to what works..
This is a shocker though..how much did they charge for the stores 100.00 a year? with few bidders & large amount of winning bids 1.00 or very low,,not even worth shipping & listing? now that took guts you gotta give em that one..
When everyone said after the 20.00 vm fee was brought on with no notice..please don't do this again..it was fair warning..there is a limit to people's patience..first the "enhancement fees, then vm,(with everyone in the future being required to pay the 20.00),now the premier or whatever close to 100.00...the hits & closed sales do not support this..the way this was done seems vaguely familiar??don't you think.....

I just took a look at the General Chat and all I see are 4 threads from *APRIL* and 3 from July, none with any "flames" that I could see. Have threads been removed or something?
edited to add... Never mind, I found it. I was looking in the Forums, didn't realize I could scroll down to find the "General Chat".

Your right this is very familiar, When I first called epier on the telephone the male voice that answered the phone said hello, not Hi Welcome to epier, or Epier auctions just hello, I had the impression I was calling a home phone. When I asked why they had cancelled auctions with multiple bids, I was told to check ebay's rules, I was floored, No amount of discussion with this person could make them understand anything then after they had been tampering with sales for weeks they had the gaul, to post some imbecilic policy about reproductions and say that the ban begins on the 30th, This is obviously a site with potential the owner however has jumped the gun and shown what a little power will do to some people, I have to say that atthis point it seems basically like this is just a site where a sharpie has seem a chance to take a slice of ebay's pie, How someone can be bright enough to figure out the vulnerability of ebay and then make the same mistakes is bizzare, epier was basically a struggeling site like many small auction sites then ebay decideed that they could violate the laws of discrimmination freely and with impunity and ban materials that had basically been with them from the beginning and helped to build their site, once this happened the entire ww2 section showed up at epeir's doorstep and overnight the little site became a better funded, more bidders more serious challenge not as good as ebay yet they went from a site producing a sale a month to a site with a few sales a day as far as myself they went from a site where everything sold to a site with multiple bids on items, However many and most of the top selling itmes were collectible ww2 type items mostly nazi, which brings to this point, basically they would like to remove some of the nazi items but keep the nazi sellers money, but what is really happening here is the ownership is showing that they basically have nothing in common with the hopes and dreams of those that have stood by this site.
most of the sellers want a replacement to the greed and high handedness of ebay, we may have someone here who has as much if not more greed and even less concern for what is happening to the sellers, where will the sellers go Hmm Bidville seems like a possible, i'm not sure,

Actually Dimview it is not. They had a category just for reproductions. It is the fact that they have decided to go by Ebays rules. A little strange considering they were supposed to be an alternative. And God forbid if you have a differig thought among some of them. That is just not allowed. There really are some good sellers/people there. I wish them luck through the next growing pain.
