While others here may not find it reasonable for some to be worried, I'll be the first to admit I am.
The word is worried, not scared.
There are many terrorists cells here in the US. I question the true feelings of those who cheered when the 9-11 attacks happened. They sickened me.
We won't know, until after the fact, if any attackers had/have ties to bin Laden and his group or not. I wonder how many are the 'silent' ones, only waiting to 'get the word' to come to life. (From their God or the terrorists who they seem to have great respect for, or when and if a 'holy war' is declared.
Bunnicula brings up McVeigh. I wondered/worried if they worked alone in their attack in OK., or if there were more just like them waiting to come out of the woodwork.

Yes my guess everyone has had this fear since the world trade center was first bombed.
and to be honest from the looks of what happened on 9/11 they were right to be worried.
You can rest assured this year will finsh with a whole lot of odd happenings before its over here and or in other countries..

I guess they are going to have to give the bus driver's a little cabin with a locking door.
I know a lot of school bus drivers who would go for that also.

They will hit where we're not prepared.
I wouldn't doubt if some show up in a crowded Mall or sports event with hand grenades and guns and just start killing people.
If these guys were looking at crop dusters, does this mean that they already have the poison or other bio agents in the US ??
And it's not just US soil that is threatened. They will hit any Western democracy that lacks vigilence.

I know a lot of school bus drivers who would go for that also. LOL, but I'd bet they'd want it made sound proof too.

http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/europe/10/04/russia.plane.crash/index.html
"One informed U.S. source told CNN that "initial analysis indicates" that it is believed at least one SA-5 surface-to-air missile was fired from a shore-based, air-defence system during the Ukrainian exercise and appears to have downed the airliner.
The official said that the military exercise was the first conducted by Ukraine in recent years.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official added that there had been prior notification by the Ukrainian government that air space had been set aside for military exercises."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/europe/newsid_1579000/1579536.stm
"Russian President Vladimir Putin said the plane might have been brought down by terrorists.
But reports from both Washington and the Ukrainian capital Kiev suggested that the airliner was accidentally been hit by a Ukrainian missile.
Ukraine's defence ministry has denied that its forces had caused the crash.
...But a US official in Washington and a Ukrainian navy official in Kiev both said the accident might have been caused by a Ukrainian surface-to-air missile.
Ukrainian navy official Igor Larichev told the AFP news agency that the Ukrainian army had shot down the plane by mistake during a training exercise."

"He had decided to travel by bus from Flint, Mich., to Atlanta because he was worried about airline safety."
ironic isn't it??
I'd still rather take the bus, chances of survival are higher than a plane crash.

Just like flight 800 off our coast. But in 3000 feet of water it will be even easier for the Ukranians to cover their butts and deny it.

Moderators,
Please lock this thread as it seems to be upsetting to at least one AW poster.
Thank you

Who would that be, Deliteful?
Do you make a habit of this? I just saw another thread that you requested be locked for the same "reason".

Bunnicula,
You are wrong but I'll let you figure that one out for yourself.

Moderators,
Since you apparently did not see my request on this page and have not closed this thread, Please Leave it Open Now. (nycrocker is correct)

Deliteful: wrong about what? Did you not ask for two different threads to be closed in the same day simply because you thought they were "upsetting" one or more people?
