Thanks for the ubb tips guys! and hello to Rawbunz and Helen.
The Sun-sentinel is now reporting on their website that the FBI has opened an investigation into the anthrax cases because of possible criminal or terrorist cause.
OK, found an old newspaper (Sun Sentinel) around here about the Deerfield Beach motels. There were two motels. One was the Panther motel, a total of five of the hijackers had stayed there. Three stayed there in September, two the previous month, all five men were on the planes that crashed into the WTC towers. There is an article on the Sun-Sentinel website about the five men that stayed at the Panther motel.
The second motel, which is the one I saw on local TV, is the Carriage House Resort Hotel. The article only says that the 2nd floor room was searched on Thursday Sept. 13th. (Sorry I had said about I thought it was September 12th but the shock blurred the days together for me.) There is no mention in the paper dated September 15th, of anything other than a 'search'. I thought that was strange at the time because I clearly saw the reporter say that three men had been staying in the room, and they showed the third man in the orange body bag behind the reporter being rolled away, and the reporter explained that they did not yet know if the man had committed suicide or been murdered by the other two, who had checked out before September 11th. I have not heard anything more about this body, but there's a plethora of reports about anything and everything since September 11th, can't read them all.
This motel is in Deerfield Beach, Broward County, just over the town line of Boca Raton where it meets Deerfield Beach. This town line is also the county line between Palm Beach County and Broward County. In other words, very close to Boca Raton.

On the CNN home page, under "Other News", there's an article that says
Feds look for criminal link to Anthrax cases.
Some pieces in that article:
The second man exposed to the bacteria was identified by relatives Monday as Ernesto Blanco, 73, who worked in the mailroom at American Media, Inc., publisher of several tabloids, including The National Enquirer and The Sun. Robert Stevens, 63, who died Friday of inhalation anthrax, was a photo editor for The Sun.
American Media chief executive David Pecker said trace elements of anthrax were found at Stevens' workspace. At least six employees told CNN they were told the traces were found on Stevens' keyboard.
Blanco's stepson, Ralph Miguel, told CNN Blanco was admitted to Cedars Medical Center in Miami-Dade County last week and treated for pneumonia. He but was readmitted at some point.
A test for anthrax turned up negative, but a nasal passage swab to test for anthrax exposure was positive. Officials emphasized the man has shown no clinical symptoms of the bacterium.
It was not clear why Blanco was readmitted to the hospital. But investigators had fanned out to intensive care units and morgues around south Florida as part of their investigation, and when they discovered Blanco worked in the same building as Stevens, they tested him.
The American Media building remained sealed Monday for environmental and health testing, said Dr. John Agwunobi, Florida's health secretary. About 300 people work for the company.
Agwunobi urged all employees and those who may have spent more than an hour in the building since August 1 to report for testing at a Palm Beach County health clinic in Del Ray Beach. There, officials were conducting nasal swabs to determine exposure, and handing out Ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic.....

Hello Enchanted!
I just hope that the anthrax is confined to the building.
Although this case appears to be limited to the inside of the building, I read at the Johns Hopkins biodefense site that if the spores are released outside that being inside houses or buildings is not protective.

gravid; [*b] You know one of the planes that crashed - I think the one in PA was a person short from what the others were.
Perhaps at the last minute one of them just could not do it. That very well could have made the difference in them being overcome.[/b*]
There was another man that very likely could have been on the PA flight. His name was Zacarias Moussaoui. He was detained in Minnesota on Aug 17th after authorities were contacted because of suspicious behavior.
from the Minneapolis Star Tribune on Sunday, October 08,
"Moussaoui went to the Pan Am academy in Eagan to use the flight simulator, which allows pilots to imitate takeoffs and landings and select flight patterns to cities, including D.C.. An instructor became suspicious. Moussaoui didn't have a license to fly a single-engine prop plane, but he wanted to learn to fly an airliner.
Moussaoui was interested in the middle portions of flight, operating the radio and flight maintenance computer and practicing turns, a source said.
The academy tipped off authorities, who discovered that Moussaoui had made another blunder. His visa had expired. Immigration took him into custody Aug 17. Within a day of the Sept 11 attack, an FBI task force linked Mousss. to terorist Bin Laden's network said Hennepin county sheriff Pat McGowan... I don't know what his intentions were for 09/11. But whatever it was, he was unable to carry them out because he was in custody." "Authorities have called Mou. a high ranking operative of Osam bin Laden, and say he may have been scheduled to be on board one of the hijacked planes".
Last week it was reported that the FBI wanted to search his computers and COULD NOT get permission because of lack of evidence at the time and it would have violated some civil liberties. (Why non U.S,. citizens are granted civil liberties when they are here on an expired visa is a whole other thread!) This didn't seem to be a stumbling block after the WTC. His computer is where they learned of the crop dusting angle.
I just went to the Star Tribune Web Site. There are 25 stories. Here is the link, http://www.startribune.com/stOnLine/cgi-bin/srchlist.cgi?words=moussaoui&searchIn=all&pubDate=all&orderBy=date&perPage=10. If the link does not work go to www.startribune.com and type in moussaoui.

If I can find out about a few coverups sitting on my butt at the computer here chatting with you folks I figure there has to be an army of pros out there with shovels burying this stuff like crazy.
When there is a big opps we will all know it but there must be a ton of little ones.

There is a report out tonight from Newsweek that a letter containing anthrax and a Star of David was mailed to the office in Boca Raton. The letter, reportedly from a disgruntled employee, was said to have been circulated around the office.
