That only shows the extent of your knowledge. In fact the veracity of the tape is being questioned all over thee world, and very heavily in this country.

There are more people in this country that think the tape is fake.
Oliver Stone thinks it's fake, and a fact based movie about it will follow.
There is also a guy that was picked up by a UFO that also swears that the tape is fake. In fact, he and the CIA filmed the tape in the space ship just last week.
Also the group that proposes that man has never set foot on the moon but instead claim that the whole thing was taped right here on earth also thinks the tape is fake.
Buy let's suppose for the sake of argument that the government had an inkling to fake such a tape. Why would they do it ? Any popularity gains would be miniscule. There is very little if nothing to be gained by using such a tape.
What are the consequences of producing a fake tape and getting caught ? The loss of public support would be huge if such a tape were intentionally faked by the U.S. Not just domestically, but abroad.
If there was something to be gained by a doctored tape, I would view it as suspect, but still await evidence.
As it stands, there is no reason to suspect the tape is doctored, nor any evidence to support any suspicion and there is no motive.

Are you really so ignorant as not to know that even the people who decided to release the tape for your view have said quite plainly right there on your nightly news that the tape could be a fake? Go back and catch some more newscasts--you're not paying attention.

Do you mean faked by BinLaden for our benefit? That I would believe. It's bad if your enemy is quick. It's worse if he is patient.

I've done some research looking up messages posted on the internet for the last 90 years and I'm noticing a pattern here.
krs 4/16/1912
Anyone that believes the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank has water on the brain. Evidence suggests that secret naval weapons were being tested in that area. You dopes will fall for anything
krs 5/7/1915
Anyone that believes the Lusitania was sunk by a German submarine are falling for government propaganda. Evidence suggests that Wilson and his satanic cabinet engineered the sinking to get us into the war. You idiots will fall for anything
krs 7/2/1937
Anyone that believes Amelia Earhart death is a mystery needs and IQ booster. Evidence suggest she was stopped in an attempt by Roosevelt to keep women from entering aviation. You fools will fall for anything
krs 12/8/1941
Anyone that believes Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese needs to go back to school. Evidence suggest that Roosevelt and his satanic cabinet engineered the attack to get us into the war. You morons will fall for anything
krs 7/7/1945
Anyone that believes those films of German extermination camps are genuine are genuinely ignorant. Evidence suggest those films were products of Hollywood and just an attempt to paint the Nazis in a bad light. You clowns will fall for anything
I've found other such posts from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, all seem to suggest the same thing. Everyone is unaware of the facts except krs.
I must point out that I have no evidence that the conspiracy theorists krs on AW made those posts, but it does look suspicious that the same initials would be used with the same old tired lines time after time after time.
Perhaps it's time to freshen up the act a bit, eh?

krs- Are you so ignorant not to notice that my post refers to the U.S govt doctoring the tape ?
Whether bin Laden and his Saudi guests were sincere in their rejoicing and bragging about slaughtering innocent people on the tape is not at issue with the American people or those in the Arab world. The issue is the claim that the U.S. govt doctored the tape.
It's time to get your meds changed. Your level of comprehension of events is slipping badly.

uaru,
paying th electric bill now? Or do you write your dumb crap on a laptop before the battery dies? No, of course you don't have a laptop. Typing in the dark by candlelight.
Sure, reamond, you refer to the US government doctoring the tape and then argue against it, even while they themselves admit that they cannot assure it's veracity. With that admission what has the US government doctoring the tape got to do with anything? I didn't make any claim that they had done that, you presented the possibility.

I don't believe in getting my news from talking camels. Right now my hunch is the tape is not a fake. The possibility exists, however, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, my belief is the tape was not faked by the US government.
I agree with Reamond that the US government would have much to lose and little to gain by releasing a doctored or faked tape.
Camels have been known to lie, anyway. Any long term RT poster knows that.

I didn't see the video, I was too busy retrieving my son's (you know, the one who was recalled into the military as a result of 9-11?) truck from a location about 6 hours round trip from home.
I did, however, read the transcript as published by either msnbc or cnn. It was full of "praise allah" for this or "blessings from allah" for that. They also talked about how the world is now agreeing with them and turning towards Islam.
This coward recruits young men to die for him, promising them virgins and martyrdom, then hides in caves like a yellowbelly snake that he is. If martyrdom is so wonderful to him, why doesn't he stand in full view of the planes with his hands raised to allah and let the U.S. planes shoot him? Better yet, give me a gun and I'll do it.

I saw somewhere that one wag had noted that both masterminds of this movie, Bin Laden and Cheney, are hiding in caves to preserve the leadership.
An arabic speaking American, a professor of something or other, said that the tape doesn't make any sense--that the words supposedly spoken do not jibe with the movement of their lips or with the gestures used, and that those portions of the taped conversation in arabic did not jibe with the translated english overlay. He also questioned the scene, which he said appeared to be two people having dinner, and that the type of conversation would be inappropriate during the taking of a meal.

Hmm. I'm supposed to go to a party tonight that I suspect a Mid-Eastern scholar I know will attend. I'll ask him about the tape if I see him. I'm sure he's seen it on tv if nowhere else.
