I had 5 auctions end with bids last weekend, on BidVille. Approixmately $100.00 worth. I have been paypaled for all but about $20.00 of it. I am happy with any money I make that Ebay isn't taking a big chunk of! Paypal takes enough!

Exactly, except for Bidville I use "wherz the bidderz" in honor of the PREZ.

I bet that tiny 1.2% rate is higher than BV's rate.

The sell-through rates are probably the same. Bidville's eight-week average was 1.5%, and there's now some 300,000 listings, or some 30% of all listings, with no bids. That would knock the sell-through rate down several notches.

Only difference, ePier reports the numbers for which a sell-through rate can be determined, Bidville does not.

That sure is a lot different from the person telling everyone at ePier how the site has continued to GROW....obviously it hasn't been growing as much as his tales of high hope has...LOL

The listings have gone from 68,000+ to 54,000+...that's a mighty big drop....I wonder how big the members totals will be when they actually remove the users that have left the site from their totals?

If ya look at the amount of people that have registered and that have left....(many long long ago) I think the numbers wouldn't look nearly as flattering! I'm amazed at the people that think just because they keep listing hundreds of items (some actually have in the thousand) that the numbers of listings are impressive....LOL....I prefer to see items selling to get me impressed with how well a site does! Yep, I believe the truth is finally having an effect on people being patient with waiting for all they promised to actually happen!

What's your source for those listings counts, since I am finding some discrepancies between the top level categories and the sum of the subcategories in each total level? Do you have a link? Or did you add the subcategories yourself?

Sorry dimview...that should be dollar value in the sell through totals...not listing numbers...although I'm quite sure if they would also be down! I was taking that off your stats for the lower average transaction value... (9/13) TOTAL 1,412 $68,842.18 - (9/24)TOTAL 1,231 $54,312.13

goldenpony,

OK. I wasn't sure because there are some discrepancies between the top level category number and the sum of the subcategories.

Small differences in some, larger in others, but probably not more than ten percent which could well be a software-related lag time.

Hey Dim,
It is also probably a "hostage" total.....since GP and I have been banned. I may have up to 200 auctions just relisting with NO CONTROL from me......I WOULD LOVE TO END ALL my relistings..but as they banned me (with NO warning or Reason)..I do not know!!.
I also have NO WAY to respond to super Buyers who are trying to leave me feedback (I do not know if they can)...BUT....(who will NOT come back due to this ridiculous treatment from ePier) they are LIARS and CHEATS!!...so who knows what the truth is?....or is NOT????
How many Sellers/Buyers???? I think they make it up as they go along.....all I know is that the latest number for anyone that signed up is 22583...so how do you know there are 103,000 buyers that they claim on the Home Page? When you sign up do you not get a NUMBER? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

Yes, I come up with some 27,500 registered users.
