How many sportscards are listed from one set of numbers to the other. It looks to me like the 5 cent card listings are increasing.

I'm a little surprised to see the number of listings rise.
The next big date for BV should be 10/20 with the start of nickel lisings on Yahoo. Of course, with only the very slim chance of selling anything on BV most sellers could double list items on both sites with no problem.

I'm pretty certain you can tell the number of sports related items listed by checking on the main page, just before making the trip to the message boards.

I do wish that Dim would return with the full stats. Kind of ironic that now that there are very few rules on AW that there is no Dimview. I don't think getting suspended by AW was that embarassing of an ordeal. Come on back Dim.

Come on Dim get out of the dumpster and post a few stats for us here.
Edited to add: I did find a reliable source for those sports numbers.

The listings increase appears to be more than just sports cards. Unless my memory fails me, the sports card #'s were about 469,000 listings when the total was approximately 1,060,000. They are now over 1,075,000 and the sports cards are 476,000+. The book numbers have stayed at 347,000+ so they aren't in the book storefront either. Been paying a little more attention to the #'s since they have been rising to see if they were due to sports cards. Some of the rise could be in the craft and related areas since there is a holiday sale starting tomorrow.
With the first column being the total listings and the second column being sports stuff I'd have to conclude that the precentage of sports stuff is rising steadily. The book have held steady in the 28% area. A note: the book consignment seller just has 1 feedback.
The other items listed column has fallen sharply in the last month:
10-22 317,087
10-29 287,938
11-05 283,722

So, in the last few days, the total amount rose about 2000 while the sportscards amount raised by 7000. Which means, 5000 non sportscards auctions dropped off. A dying site.

you mean a steady increase in Yahoo? I don't think Bidville will lose any listings because the 5 cent sellers will not spend 5 cents to list 5 cent cards that nobody would pay 5 cents for.

I meant the sportscard-to-other-items ratio at BV. If that one bookseller ever leaves BV the ratio would be at an all-time high, over 3 out of ever 5 items.

11-05 1,060,626 477,746 (45.0%) 283,722
11-12 1,074,701 488,059 (45.4%) 287,484
Dim just post the lastest BV figures on Mootroplis. In the last week 10,313 sports related items have been listed and 3,762 non books or sports related items.

I think you should deduct for that #@!$ bookseller over there that never sells any books. How many did they have? A few thousand wasn't it?
