Yellowstone, it works both ways... I don't care who says it, so yes, I should have addressed Maggie's statement also.

I repeat.... just because certain people show up on a thread it doesn't mean anything.

We are divided on political threads and since most threads are political of course it tends to look like one pack against the other because people tend to support each other if they agree.

I think we are all adults and we can take care of ourselves. I don't consider myself a part of any 'pack'....... I never have. I feel totally alone here most of the time even though I've been here awhile.

I just think that Maggie should think before she makes some of her statements. I was just trying to point out that it seemed to me that what was happening in that thread was exactly what she accused some of doing in this thread. Therefore, it negated her statement here and made her statement seem flawed.

yellowstone - "One more thing I find it funny as helll that all you damnn Liberals think that us Conservatives actually want war. This alone shows your stupidity. I suggest that all of you Liberals that think this way need to grab your ears with both hands and give your head a big yank."

I'm confused, you say that "all you damnn Liberals think that us Conservatives actually want war." Then you contradict that statement by stating, "I suggest that all of you Liberals that think this way need to grab your ears with both hands and give your head a big yank."

You obviously don't see your mistake. In the second quote, your claim is that "those that think this way" which implies that there are liberals out there who don't think that way."

I only bring this up, because your whole arguement is based on a broad generalization against liberals, and in the end, your claim has faults in it as well.

As what Linda likes to call, "an ultra-liberal", I don't think all conservatives, nor do I think all Republicans want to go to war or be in a war, unless it is necessary and only as a last resort.

There are too many gray areas that don't draw a solid line between the two political ideologies that we are discussing. For example, I believe that most "true" conservatives want a government that is financially responsible, doesn't overspend, and can provide records for an audit. This current administration isn't working under the idea of fiscal conservativism in any way whatsoever.

I also believe that conservatives don't want as much government regulation, but I am confused about that ideology. Does this only apply for corporate america? It sure seems the case from my perspective. Is it ok remove regulations so that corporations can participate in a open market, but not take responsibility for their actions that may lead to disease via environmental pollution? Shouldn't a person have the right to sue a doctor if they went in the hospital for heart surgery and the doctor left something inside, or botched it up and the person suffers permanantly? It seems to be ok for corporations to sue each other, and to sue individuals who speak out against them. I find it amusing how political ads against trial attorneys use the word, "frivilous lawsuits". Think about this... in a court of law, if a lawsuit is found to be frivilous, it is the duty of the court to not only dismiss the case, but to also seek damages to remedy the defense. So, are these ads simply implying all lawsuits against insurance companies "frivilous", especially if the award is in the millions?

I don't know how many conservatives approve of a government that gives corporate welfare in order to either keep or attract a business into their region or country. I own a business, and to be quite honest, I haven't accepted one single loan, one single handout, nothing. I have earned my money working hard, paying taxes, and if it means that part of my taxes goes to help a family out in the interim, so be it. I would rather help a neighbor than help out a corporate entity who siphons off our income via tax breaks and incentives, then pays low wages, and skimps on medical insurance. Not all corporations do it, but our government should make sure none of the corporations do it. When my father left our family to be with another woman, my mother, who is from Panama had no choice but to go on welfare. There is no pride in being on welfare. She did everything possible to find a job. In the end, we moved from Michigan to Florida so that she would have a better opportunity to find a job to support us, which she did. She fought tooth and nail for my father to pay child support. She would spend hours at a time trying to track my fathers deadbeat ass around the country to find out where he was working, because the child support office didn't have enough resources to enforce it themselves. So, if you think I have any remorse for all too many conservatives who think welfare should be banned, I'll be happy to put you in your place. Not everyone on welfare is taking advantage of the system, just like, not every corporation in America pollutes the earth, or pays poor wages.

It looks to me like you have found an answer to your ponderment in your own statements, hint - compare the bolded statements.

My second quote, as you call it, was as Helen likes to say innocuous humor.

It's really not very important, but I've never used the phrase "innocuous humor"....I've used the word innocuous to describe comments or remarks but not humor.

Linda says, "Gee helen...I don't know which of your previous posts to use here...the one where you say only righties call names....or the one where you tell us never to believe anything you say/post here. But you do work well in your own 'packs'."

So, you have screwed up another statement that I made...I said to Nearthesea in an attempt to be funny..."Don't ever take what I say here as an indication of how I really feel." It was a sort of inside joke. which I followed with a smiley face. and a remark to you as a matter of fact. I said to you, "Only NearTheSea and I know what I'm really talking about, Linda.

That was a joke between Nearthesea and me...not directed to you at all. Someone here used to say that to me and I just assumed that he also said it to Nearthesea. SO, lindak you twisted my remark which was intended to be humorous and even changed the meaning to indicate that I was telling everyone not to believe anything that I say or post here. You're too funny, lindak. I can always back up what I say but you surely do have a difficult time doing so.

I never received a reply from vendio as to my question, so guess it is not a big deal anymore like it was a few years ago...

But then as long as you have a cc let the fun begin.

What spinless gutless wonder would marry crowfart? Geezus didn't know such wussies existed... wait he is deaf and blind that must be it...

My, my...... a tad bit touchy tonite, aren't we? You tattled to Vendio about maggie and crowfarm.

Vendio didn't get back to you........ they are probably still sitting there laughing their azzes off though.

Did you really think they would divulge personal info to you? lol

Well Kiara when I reported Maggie in the EO their user agreement was different. (8/5/2004) I notice now they have nothing on security and that is where it was. Since Vendio delets their emails after 15 days I don't have it any more. But that is what it said when I reported her.

Well if that is the case than after a suspension a person can reregister under a different name what good is a suspension? Then the EO will become a free for all and no one will post up there.

Libra63, a long time ago someone mentioned that rule but when I checked I couldn't find it then either. I see that Vendio's user agreement was last revised on February 19, 2004 so it doesn't look like it was changed recently.

Why are some people tattling on others anyways? We are all adults here and most of us can dish it out just as much as we can take it. I think it's kind of silly to have to tattle to Vendio when we choose to post here and no one is holding a gun to our heads. Don't you think Vendio has more important things to do than monitor this sandbox?

Same as it's silly for some to keep announcing that they have others on ignore when it's fairly obvious to all that they can't ignore them even if they tried because they really want to know what that person is saying. IOW, they love it!

who are you kiara the board monitor? You don't decide what is right for people... hell you can't even get your ass off the fence half the time... it is lovely though when you do gather some backbone... but that is so rare....

did notice how you came up with more negativity about the US and Iraq... can you even vote here? You never seem to want to answer that... why is that?

I think it's silly to post under 2 or more id's and not admit it even when it's so obvious that some are doing so. Rustygumbo at least admitted this in another thread and I think it was admirable for him/her to do so. Also, I do not believe that he/she was doing it for deceitful reasons, it was just an honest mistake. Others post with more than one id for deceitful reasons and if someone calls them on it and they get the boot, then so be it they got what they deserved.

As far as the ignore feature goes, I have allways considered this the cowards way out. There are some that I ignore but I don't have them on ignore, in fact I have no one on ignore.

Certainly not, twelvepole. If you want to tattle you go right ahead, whatever makes you feel good. I can take care of myself so it looks kind of pitiful when a weinie like you can't handle it so he has to tattle, that's all.

Why do you care if I discuss Iraq or any other topic when everyone else can?
