Stop, a good number of people suffer from seasonal depression, usually in the winter time. Once spring hits they usually snap out of it.
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

stop, ignore the smartasses and quick fixes. If you are depressed especially if it's for long periods....talk to your doctor. Don't let people tell you you'll just get over it...do something.

sometimes i feel the blue in the morning, but it goes away .
I work out in the evening .
i live in a ranch style house,no way to run up and down the stairs.
you may want to tape your nude running and post it on your website and charge everyone 20 dollars to watch.
Once you see that $dough rolling in,your depression will be gone!

LOL!! If only what I have was thatsellable!! -Did ya see that kid who got all these hits and media attention just singing his face out on his webcam? Internet users are such a weird group of consumers!
cf, you dont always have to go straight to the strongest line of defense i.e. go to a doctor. Besides, they will probably see you for 15 minutes, if that long, and send you away with a prescription to go on (_______) like 3 million of the rest of the nation. And of course, this is all some how the republicans & drug companies fault, but meanwhile you never researched how to help yourself to begin with.

Stop. Try doing exercises in the morning. Take a walk, do something that makes you feel good when you get up. Fresh air is great...
If you are doing eBay and you don't need the money stop for a while. eBay even though you are selling and making money it takes an awful lot of time and some of that time needs to be spent on you not arguing with someone about shipping charges. Waiting for the bidders to pay so you can move the merchandise. Sometimes it isn't worth it.
Me I try and think positive. I know some days it doesn't work but I think a long walk in the morning will help brighten your day.
Researched exercise to see what time of the day is best?

dbl, I said , """""If you are depressed especially if it's for long periods"""
Can you read the part about long periods of time????????
When someone asks a question about depression in here and doesn't give details the best advice is not a smartass remark about running naked up stairs....
This person MAY have serious problems and the best advice at that point is to advise going to a doctor.....NOT being flippant!

Stop.. Crow is right, if you have depression for any length of time, you should go and talk to your doctor, it could be something as simple as hypothyroidism.
DBLF.. LOL.. running up and down stairs naked... reminds me of the last Stress test I had...While doing the treadmill test my giant boobies were jumping up and down so hard, they couldn't get an accurate reading!!
Didn't do much to brighten my mood, but sure brought some smiles to the hospital staff!LOL

LoL Maggie!! That sounds like it actually hurts after awhile. Shopping is a quick picker upper but boy can you get into a debt habit with that!!
oh cf, pluleeze! Isnt there anything else for you to rail on today?
It was a joke, but with a grain of truth to it. They have found exercise releases endorphines that helps lift depression!! And roaming about the house naked is very liberating indeed! You'll want to do this when you are entirely alone though

Stop, depression isn't something a person can snap out of. Feeling blue once in awhile is normal, but if it's constant, I would see your doctor. I've been on Celexa for years and it's been a life saver for me, so don't be afraid to ask your doctor for help.

the reason duct tape was invented was to put over a females mouth when they were "yapping" too much.

stopwhining - So many things can change our moods...some already mentioned here....but also whether we're focusing on the positives in our lives...or only the negatives. When I get down...that's what I do...look to all the things in my life I have to be so very thankful for.
I'm posting this link in hopes that you might read some of what's written about depression...causes...suggestions...etc....and that you'll find something about your own personal level of depression. Something that might be of help to you.

I suffer from SAD. Yes, classic, it's a hazard of living in Cleveland. I go shopping! Even if it's just to window shop it gets my mind off of things. I'll spend more time with my granddaughter. It's hard to be depressed around her! Even if it's 10 degrees outside, if there is sun I'll try to get outside for a short while just to get some of it. Mostly, I try to remember that spring is right around the corner. I'm planning my garden for this year by looking through catalogs at different flowers.

I get really down when it's cloudy and rainy for more than a day or two, even though I know we need the rain. I have found drinking more whisky to be the best treatment.

I try to think about positive things and stuff I enjoy. Also, a pet is very re-affirming when you have the blues. Take the dog for a walk. Happiness is a warm puppy.
