When my sister calls on the phone or I talk to her in person, she always ends many of her sentence in "you know what I'm saying?".

This really bugs the hell out of me. You know what I'm saying? I don't know if she can't explain herself clearly enough. You know what I'm saying? She has some college and is not stupid. You know what I'm saying? I think that you get the picture by now!

When I'm driving down the street and suddenly I hear BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM coming from the car behind me. Of course I don't want to hear all this noise. You can't stop your car and tell the person behind you to turn down the noise, so the next best thing to do is eliminate it by driving 10mph under the speed limit. In 2 city blocks the car behind you passes. GUARENTEED.

yeager:
I had a dear friend who used to say "You know' over and over sometimes two or three times in one sentence. It would be something
like "I went to the mall, you know, and found this new shop ,you know and bought a new shirt ,you know."
It drove me mad until I started answering
"no I don't know ,do tell" in a sickenly cheerful voice everytime she said it. At first she got pissed at me but then admitted that she didn't know how many times she actually said "you know " until I did this.
When I stopped she got mad at me again. She made me keep it up until she stopped doing it.
I think it is a nervous habit.
toomanycomics: Talking to yourself annoys people. Boy am I in trouble.

how about trying to reply to this phrase:
"you know what I'm saying/talking about" with "do YOU know what you're saying/talking about?"

tegan - it wasn't talking to yourself in public that annoys pple
it's answering yourself that does

Having people start threads and then request them to be locked because someone disagrees with the originator.

Find everything anyone else says annoying.

Don't just ignore annoying.
(I am getting much better at this now.)

Post to threads just to say they are annoying for their very existance.
(This makes them GROW in annoyance.)

Think annoying is grounds for censorship. (He, he.)

T

Another annoying thing: When ezboard is down and you can't go home.

Question every edit.
