Has anyone downloaded it? Worth the trouble or not (there are a couple of new features, like print preview that would seem to make it worthwhile, but I want to know if anyone has experienced it yet and is it "buggy" as per the usual Microsoft first edition release)? Thanks.

James.

Hi James,

Sorry I can't help, Netscape 4.7 here, works fine as far as I can tell.

We are waiting until MS releases the first service pack for it. I am happy with 5.01, of course we are running all the current critical updates and security patches.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just my humble opinion.

James I've been using it for about a week. Maybe a little faster than 5.01, but I really can't see much difference. One nice feature is the *print preview*. Otherwise no big deal.

I am using it. I waited almost 2 hours for it to download. It was not worth it. I have noticed no difference. Unless you want the newest version, don't waste your time.

It is a bit faster and seems to load pages in a slightly different way for me.Downloads the page and then opens it all at once.
It is worth it to me just in that it has all the available security fixes and the newest feature viewers.

Thank you for your input. I'm a bit of a download junkie, but in this case my instincts were screaming "DON'T donnwload this yet -- nothing is broken, so why try to fix it?". I think I'll do as Meya suggested and wait for the service packet that fixes those bugs that must be there. Glad to hear that it hasn't messed up anyone here's system though.

James.

Does it open the editing feature of your ebay About Me page? I'm using a borrowed lap top this week and even with 5.5 on it I can't edit my ME page. Have to use netscape.

5.5 Works fine for my About Me page.
The other thing I am noticing is that all of the cookies I want, AW auto login etc. are working all the time.

It's not bad, but I still like Opera.

And as youm are debating about 5.5, they are in the process of releasing 6.0. It is out in Beta now so should be out with the full version soon.
