Sword013
Sword - because I teach very many forms of swordplay including fencing, oriental styles, and of course the Conan humongoid style of blade! I also teach some forms of unarmed matial arts as well as realistic self defense for women. Someone needs to let you gals know how not to take any guff from my uncultured brothers out there and I am proud to do it!
13 - because is was born on a 13th, and it was a Friday! It was also the 13th hour!
BOO!!! Is it Halloween yet? :^)

When I got on line about 6 years ago and tried to sign onto aol, it seems like every name or nickname I ever had was taken. I used to live in Italy, courtesy of Uncle Sam, and I loooove their ice cream. So I tried gelato...well that was taken too! So I switched to jelato and have been happy ever since!

Bear was my husband's nickname in college. I also collect bears. Now that all my kids are grown, they say the bears are my children, and all my students and sons give me bear children for special occasions. Several hundred in my home, including a round bathtub full, and more at school.

I started on the internet around 92, and began selling collectible tobacco pipes on my own web page in 1995, and for a long time, until the internet turned into the equivalent of cable tv for retailers, was the most active collectible pipe dealer in the country. Anyway, the best tobacco pipes in the world are Castello, and the second best, and much better priced (eg, cheaper), are Ascorti, so that's where my name came from.
HOLD IT! That makes me sound second best...but really, I chose that name because I'm cheap and picked the brand that I could afford.

I'm a ham radio operator. Back in the vacuum tube days, some of the equipment we built dealt with very high voltages, up to 3000-4000 volts. I've always liked to modify circuits to squeeze "just a little more" out. You can probably guess the rest.

"The Model Citizen" is a column I write for model car builders and collectors, so I became Model_Citizen almost everywhere.
My eBay sellers ID is "Turtles-Trading-Post". When I was a little feller I used to play store in my grandmother's basement and that's what I named my store.
A summer ago I cleaned out that same basement to sell the house. I found one of my old "Turtle's Trading Post" signs (circa 1966), and since I was going to sell much of what I removed from that basement on eBay it just fit!
So Turtle's Trading Post reopened after 33 years!
The current logo was drawn by my daughter when she was 11. It appears on all my auctions and gets a lot of comments.

Well, my first name is Susan, and friends call me Sue. I am a red-head with a quick mind and a sharp mouth, so I got the nickname of SPUNKY at a job I had. So, there are a couple of hundreds other of "Spunkysue's" on the internet, and I just happen to beat them here! There is this one girl in California though, I seem to get emails from all of her boyfriends. And being as "Spunky" as I am, I just have to make sure they find out about the other ones! I know where she was on New Years Eve! And with Who! And what they did! Anyway, I just may really play with the nest guy who thinks I am that girl in Calfornia!

I picked my name a few days after coming back to California after a long stay in Ireland. I was very homesick for all things Irish because I loved it there so much, and I picked it because of a strange and mystical encounter at a Holy Well in County Sligo involving nuns, German tourists, and a statue of St. Brighid. I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. 8/68 is the month and year of my birth.

When I was a teenager, my dad started calling me Dewey. I don't know why, or how he come up with it ('specially since I'm of the female pursuasion!). But somehow it fit, and it stuck. Even after 17 or 18 years, everybody still calls me Dewey ... my husband included.
And since my mom always tells me "there's not another one like you!" (not sure if that's a compliment or not!), she added The in front of Dewey ....
So now I am The Dewey.
Hey, they nicknamed my l'il sister Oochie, so I got lucky!

Quick Draw McGraw, from the old cartoon I watched as a kid. I was looking for a name that was bidder related, at the time, and Quickdraw, being western related means I was ready for a "showdown." 29 is just my birth day of month. Quickdraw was taken.
I've grown tired of using a number in my name so I've since changed my ebay user name, changing it here is too complicated!
