So unimaginative...Amy is my daughter's name. She checks in occasionally to make sure I'm not tarnishing her good name.

My husband and I buy and refinish Hoosier and Hoosier-type cabinets. So we alot of these at auctions. After buying one, a man I know that was in the audience, called me mrshoosier and it kinda stuck.

When I decided to start selling on ebay, I wanted a nickname that would conjure up a vision of elegance and sophistication, like a dapper man in a tuxedo leaning against his silver tipped cane and tipping his hat.

Then I realized that not only am I not a man, but I also have absolutely no elegant qualities. Hence the name 'monkeysuit'.

Stupid sig line...I'll have it till I die, I just know it!!!

Mine is boring, first initial and maiden last name.
Changing my email to my new name (Wendy-I married a Polish man too), would be a PITA, but I'm still going to, just haven't yet.

According to that list of funny names, I would be stinky monkeylips(?)...figures

My first handle here until recently was sheriberry and I'm sheriberry on email lists and such. My first name is Sheri, and when I was a kid, teasing little boys always called my "Sheri Berry". My mom used to say "Sheri Berry, Quite Contrary" (and it's still true! lol)... so it was always sort of a nick anyway.... THEN I married a man with the last name of Berry! I never could bring myself to change my last name legally to Berry, it just sounds so *silly* and my poor SIL (married to DH's brother) is Mary Berry so I kept my maiden name, but started using "Sheriberry" on the 'net.

I changed it here to BlackCoffeeBlues, which is the title of a book by one of my all-time favorite people; Henry Rollins, former frontman of the punk band Black Flag, musician, author, spoken word guy, all around dream man for me. I've been a rabid fan since I was 15 or so and I'm 29 now.

Plus, on a sillier note, I drink *LOTS* of coffee, and can't stand it black.

Started on ebay cause I needed a way to pay 'for four' years of private school tuition for my youngest. Now he's in public for 3 years so I'm hoping to save 'for' the next 'four' years ~ college!

Edited to add .. papaswindy just isn't as funny anymore! LOL

Daredevils of the Red Circle is THE single greatest movie serial ever made. Charles Quigley, Bruce Bennett and David Sharpe occasionally got clues from an enigmatic figure called the Red Circle while trying to stop Charles Middleton...hence the name.

Hi Borillar!

I love reading all of these posts and the anecdotes that accompany some of the names... mine is fairly simple: the name of the town I live in is Kihei (pronounced Kee Hay) and my name is Cat, hence KiheiCat.

Yore- Obsolete Middle English word meaning 'of old' or 'long ago'.

Quest- 'An adventurous expedition undertaken to secure or achieve something.'

I sell and collect antiques, stands to reason I'd want to advertise this fact whenever possible. But there's more to it than that. History and historical artifacts tells us as much about who we are today as they do about who we once were. I'm a little unclear yet as to what I'm trying to achieve, but I'm sure as hell never bored.

Incidentally, coming from Oklahoma I knew the true meaning of Papas'windy'. I never thought it was a fart joke. I've been accused of the same thing.

second mouse: I had always heard that the Early Bird gets the worm, but that the worm who slept late got to live!

interesting topic

My friend first used hunneypot from pooh, I used to be Speedy (7 years ago for a very very short time) my friends hubby told her no more computer so she quit, I decided I liked the name hunney (but not hunneypot) and adopted the name, I used it everywhere, and still do, even to the point that it has become my life.
I have phone calls where people ask for hunney, hubby calls me hunny, family calls me hunney, seems everyone calls me hunney so it fits to a T

(plus I'm sweet, contary to popular belief heheh )
