networker67 Started out as networker31, then it dawned on me that I would have to change every year on my birthday. So like peachy77 settled on the year of my birth.

Since I work the net. networker seemed like a great permanent name for ebay. Especialy since most of my sales were network software, memory for servers, and other computer goodies. At the same time I also spent way too much time on the ebay Q and A answering computer questions, general business questions, and other things. So networker just seemed to fit so many of the things that I do.

Uaru:

I had your handle all wrong, lol. I thought it was like a vanity plate type deal for "Who are you?".
Well I guess, Nauino

btw, mine just means my mom married a Danish man and the "e" is just my insignificant first initial

No, I am not a lady carpenter. The first time I met my inlaws, we were meeting them in another state for a funeral. It was bitterly cold and me, my husband and father-in-law were crunched up together sitting in a truck trying to stay warm while waiting for my mother-in-law to finish paying her respects. It was awkward and nobody knew what to say. I thought I had been sitting on the seatbelt and when I couldn't stand it anymore I pulled it out and it was a hammer! I said, "That's the most fun I've had in a long time!" which was just the comic relief the moment needed. Ever since then, my father-in-law's nickname for me has been "hammer". Somebody always takes that name, so I just add "chick" to it.

I know, it's not as catchy as Johnny Ramone.

Hey Equestrian!
I took my Pony Club A test back in the early '80s while living in GB.
My pony then was a groovin' connemara cross who was afraid of nothing that I pointed him at...we were maniacs at hunter trials!
Now after many years of riding I am appreciating dressage...hence the Capriole nick.

Bare Sinsations is the name of my boutique.
I sell lingerie :P
My handle before was memoree and I still use it on most things except auctions, and business related things. I got that from my name, my name is Marie but all my life I've been called Ree, and when I divorce, my ex said you're nothing but a memory......
those words gave me the idea for a new nick, (At the time I was using REE) So I changed the spelling and have been memoree ever since)

Sosoal is a tiny village hidden in the lush
high mountains of the tropics. It is a nearly pristine place where modern technological conveniences, such as electricity and running water, are not to be found. It is as close to Utopia as I've ever been. It's also the place where I was stung twice by a big nasty black scorpion. Which only goes to prove that even paradise comes with a price!

DC-9, A-320: two types of jet aircraft used by airlines. These are the two aircraft I usually end up on (the exceptions being a DC-10, 757, glider, and two prop planes). I wanted just dc9 for AW, but that was taken, as were a few other jetliner-related names that did not include an aircraft type, so I returned to type names and picked the two I've flown on the most.

I don't actually fly much (a couple times a year, at most), and I'm not a pilot, but I find jetliners very interesting, so there you have it.

I didn't think until afterwards that 'dc9a320' is a rather awkward handle for most people to remember or reply to, but oh well, 'dc9a320' is now my handle, albeit only on AW.

Funny to find and reply to this thread today, though, because I did just get back from flying, and guess which two types of plane.

Hi gang! *waves* Haven't been around for awhile and happened upon this thread today. So now I have a chance to tell my story, if anyone was curious that is

When I got into the SCA (a medieval reenactment group for those who don't know), I needed a name. I then became Lorelei the Mouse Slayer. Lorelei because it's close to my real name and I'm gettin to the Mouse Slayer part...

When I was a teenager, I went on many road trips. Without fail on every trip, a kamikaze mouse would run in front of my car. Not rabbits, not deer (thank goodness!), just mice.

After telling this story to my friends, they named me the Mouse Slayer. Little did I know it would work for my ancient name and my modern name (get it, mouse, as in computer?) And yes, I really do use it for everything!

So there you have it! Did I answer anyone's burning question?

~~MouseSlayer is not a cat =^..^= ~~
Yes, I'm MouseSlayer everywhere. It's a great name, so I use it!

I got GeoCam from the first few letters of the two countries where my daughters were born: The Republic of Georgia and Cambodia.

The Vorlons are one of the oldest races of the Universe on Babylon 5. The main one- Kosh was described as a warped fortune cookie (you never quite know what Vorlons are quite talking about.)

4 because 1-3 were taken on another site (Amazon or Yahoo or something- wasn't ebay, I dunno-memory's the second thing to go.) So I went with Vorlon4 here.

I hit 30, decided no more high heels or tight uncomfortable shoes and pretty much all I wear (shoe-wise) are Doc Marten boots. My family loves it when I show up for weddings or other formal gatherings in a nice black dress and the same shoes I do my gardening in. Life is way too short to be uncomfortable!

Thank you to everyone who posted on here. Special thankx to those who only lurked before they posted on here.

My only sad thought is that there are some regular, highly opinionated posters on AW who didn't post theirs, except for me, and I really would have liked to know why they use their handles.

Please continue if there is anyone still lurking and would like to try making a post and introducing yourself to the rest of us.
