Its on tonight, and that is the only tv show we watch!

I am so into that show, that at the end of each one, its a damn cliffhanger!

now, I remember Cheryl? saying that maybe they are dead, I kinda think that too, or something else totally off the wall.

My brother brings me this poster last night, I guess out of the TV guide? and it was little things on the people on the island.

It gave some 'clues' like the books that Sawyer is reading: Watership Down, and A Wrinkle in time
Now that may be a clue, like they are in some time warp thing or something? And John Locke has the same name as a 17th Century philospher. All kinds of stuff on this poster he gave me.

Anyway its on tonight, not sure if its gonna be a rerun or not! hope not!

I must have read Watership Down a dozen times when I was a kid. I still give it as a gift to younger people on different occasions.

It is a good show, but a real dilemma occurs here Friday night, JAG & Third Watch on at the same time & both are the series finales. And me with no TIVO...

When I need to fall asleep, I can pretty much always do it in front of the TEE-VEE, but I do like Lost....hooked I guess..I've been cussing at the set the last two weeks thanks to the re-runs..

I really like Carnivale and Deadwood too, but there's a whole bunch of them on the Tivo that I need to catch up on.

ahh those Tivos-I dont know how I ever got along without one.Im one of those dudes who never learned to program their vcr and the clock was always flashing "12:00". I have a Directv Satellite receiver,so I got another receiver that has Tivo in it.I cant believe how easy this thing is to use.I have my receiver hooked up to my dvd recorder that goes to that monster 56" widescreen tv I have. Its not one of those Hi-Def or plasma Tv's as I got this 10 years ago.when this one dies I will definitely get one of those. My twin newphew has a 50 inch Hi-def screen and the picture is just awesome.

Week after week of re-runs may do the show in. People get tired of waiting for new shows and move on. From the promos, it looks like they may kill Lock off. That will pizz me off. He's my favorite character. Thankfully, the next four shows are new ones. I thought last night's was lame and only watched part of it. Of course, it was a good show for anyone who has missed any of the episodes.

why would they show re-runs before the season is over? Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

Reruns during the season is nothing new...X Files did it that way for a lot of years and it didn't hurt them one bit.

What's a twin nephew?

Anyone thinking of getting a new tv should definately get a Hi-def as in 2007 all broadcasts are supposed to be that way.
Am I the only one that watches the CSI's and Numbers? LOL

I watch all of the CSI's. CSI Miami is my favorite of them. I also watch Law and Order when it doesn't conflict. I've seen Numbers a couple of times, but I'm usually doing something else when it comes on.

My favorite is the Sopranos... but by the time they finally get around to making a new season you've forgotten the last! BTW.. that's how I picture you DBL..LOL..like the Jersey Girls portrayed in the Sopranos! Big hair, big flashy jewelery, skinny pants and tube top..chewing gum! LOL

Anyone still watching American Idol? I'm glad Constantine got the boot last night...and if Scot wins...I will never watch the program again..

I watch The Amazing Race too... but since the leak I know who wins, so that takes the fun out of it...

What exactly is Tivo TV? Do you need a dish to have Tivo? How does it work Classic?

LOL Maggie!! I havent watched sopranos in awhile, but I tell ya what, gandolfini used to remind me of my brother so much. And the wife, everytime I watched her...The way she dresses, acts, etc - all I could think of was my oldest sister.

I went through a flash stage something like that, when I was a teenager. (Probably most jersey girls do with their friends influence.)- But I never really was that wild. I was pretty much an A student even inbetween the pothead, disco, punk and everything else stages. But now I am just an old fart like the rest of youse!

DBL.. what hoot it would be if all us old farts got together! It's so funny how we picture someone by the way they post.

I can just imagine the shock and surprise we'd have seeing each other in person! It would be fun to get us all in the same room and take guesses on who is who or is it whom?

Classy...answer my Tivo question pleeeeze..

yeah, maggie would be funny . btw, your pictures were nice. classic was right - you had those hot legs for sure! I pictured you with longer blonder hair for some reason? dunno why...

LOL.. No.. DBL..I am a natural redhead, but now as the gray is taking over it's starting to look more blond! Always wore my hair long, but the older I get the shorter it gets..right now it's to long and I'm starting to resemble a big haired country singer! LOL

Now, in my mind's eye you are a dark brunette and have a dark complection...am I right? Be brave and post us a photo..

The best way to explain it is-Its a box hooked up to either your Satellite or cable.Mine is a little different as its a combination directv receiver and tivo in one unit. This is the way mine works.I paid $100.00 for the unit and a $4.99 monthly fee for the tivo.I believe the regular tivo thats hooked to cable tv the charge is $9.99 a month-in either case ITS WELL WORTH THE PRICE! Mine has a 40GB hard drive on it that stores your programs on.They do have some units that have 80GB hard drives on them, which means you can store more programs. These also have a search feature which you can look up a certain movie or actor or program and it will tell you if its playing within the next couple of weeks.I dont use this,as I use a website "clicktv.com" and rockontv.com for music programs. What I do is go to the website-and lets say I looking for James Bond movies.I go to the search feature, type in James Bond and all the James Bond movies that are playing will show up in a two week period. Then I pick out which movies I want to record and go to my Yahoo calender and type in the information. As with the tivo you can also type in a favorite actor or director or type of movie-i.e. Mystery, science fiction etc.
When Im done,I will type these on my Yahoo calender and print them out and to to the Tivo, look them up and when I find the program
I just hit the record button. This will store it for you.Theres a button on the Tivo when pushed,it will show you all the programs you have recorded on the hard drive up to that point. You can choose just to watch them, record them onto your vcr or if you change your mind just delete them. One very good feature about the Tivo is "season pass" when you find a weekly program you like, you just press season pass and it will record that program every time it comes on the air.I watch "24" and I clicked season pass on it and now it will record every "24" episode that comes on,I dont have to do anything. In fact I would rather watch "24" off the hard drive as I can skip the adds. When you press fast forward on the hard drive I can zip thru 5 minutes of adds in about 3 seconds. These are the basics and Im sure there are move features that I havent mention-If the PROFE
would chime in Im sure he could also give you more details on things I have missed.

Classy...when you say it will record the seasons pass programs you choose.. do you mean that you have to have a your dvd or vcr ready to save them? Or does the Tivo save them somewhere for you to watch?
Do you have more choice of programming than the regular tiers you choose through your cable provider...in other words, do you still have to ask for the family package or HBO etc?

I don't know if my cable company offers it but I am going to check it out... sounds well worth it... thanks MM

when you press the "season pass" button, the program will be recorded on the Tivos hard drive, then later on if you wish to choose to record it on your vcr you may do so.You have the same programming your provider gives you nothing extra. Also you dont get these thru your cable provider-you get them in a electronics store-I got mine in "Best Buy"

ohhhh.. I thought it was a service provided by your cable company...so if I buy one, is is complicated to hook up or just like a VCR? I should check with my cable company first to see if it would be compatible right?

lol! Get outta here you guys! post my picture with the likes of the lukers here - no way, Jose!! Maggie, you were way brave!

on the hair, yep, chestnut brunette but I've been dying it dark auburn forever! I am not that dark, dark eyes, dark irish but not like olive skinned italian. My hair too has its share of gray and has lightened. (The other day I noticed one long gray streak running from the front of my temple to the back of my hair - (I wear a pony tail mostly, or bun it up back with a skrungie) and I felt like that cartoon character - Josie and the pussycats? I think I am going to get it frosted - but not a cheap looking blonde, a more natural blonde if they can do it. I am afraid of the hairdressers down here though. I cant seem to find one that does anything that wears nice on me like the stylists up in Jersey.

Maggie, do you remember Jessica Lange's hair style in Cape Fear? I went to my hairstylist and I said, "can you cut my hair like her's in that picture" and she said yeah, I think so. I got more compliments on that hair doo back then....

DBL.. I know what you mean.. I can't find a stylist here that can cut hair.. I always take a good look at their hair before I let them touch mine!

Your hair color sounds like mine.. dark auburn? And I usually wear mine up in a pony on top of my head too! LOL ala Flintstones pebbles..

Here is one of me with my long hair.Catch it quick cause I won't leave it up long..lol
