Well.. what do you think.. did she or didn't she?
Just heard that the judge has declared a mis-trial in the Lynndie England trial over the abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
Now.. I wonder which will get more press...

Watch Prime Time tonight and they will give you the full story on Paula. Any way what does it matter. According to the news he was the loser. He needs to give it up. The three so called judges have no outcome to how the show turns out it is the american public that votes not them.
The first american Idol was good, the second a little less and that's all I watched It is just another way for Simon to get money. I think it is his show but I don't know for sure since I don't watch it.
Thanks maggie it is great to see a non political thread. I wonder how long it will last

Libra, I don't really care whether she did have an affair or not either.. but I think he is saying that she coached him, bought him clothes and told him how to get ahead in the competition... if this is proved true.. then she will surely lose her job as a judge.
The judges choose the contestants up until a certain point when the public takes over. I do think however, that they have an influence on who is voted for, by the comments they make..
The fellow who is accusing Paula, doesn't have much credibility and is probably looking for publicity or going to write a book.. he had to leave the competition because of an arrest that he hadn't told the show about... but it will be interesting to see how things take shape..

Miss Mags - according to Simon, Randy, the producers and damn near every former contestent, Paula has always spent a great deal of time back stage and at prep with all of the contestants giving them hints and tips, advice on picking songs and making wardrobe suggestions. Personally I don't see anything wrong with that.
This is a last gasp effort for to gain something from the money train. He didn't succeed on the show and didn't show anyone enough then or since to inspire a contract so why not go ahead and suck the bones of his career carcass one last time and see what comes of it. It's sad, and it's tacky both on his part and on the part of ABC.
As far as judges reviews influencing voting.... why oh why then are Scott and Anthony still on the show when Constantine and the oh so unique and ballsy Nadia gone? If only people actually did listen to the judges. Simon may be blunt and cruel and he's rarely incorrect.
Libra - Simon sold 19 Entertainment to CKX Entertainment a couple months ago for a little over 200 million including stock options. Now Simon not only makes money off of Idol but also from Elvis as CKX is the company that bought Elvis Presley Enterprises.

I know, I know.. not exactly an important thread, for sure.. LOL..and I agree with you Fenix.. it is tacky and I hope she will sue the little bugger for slander.. but if by any chance this happened the way he says.. then she acted inappropriately and should be slapped 5 times with a wet noodle.
Hee.. Hee.. I couldn't agree more with about Anthony and Scott.. I think Anthony is next to go then Scott.. he is such a surly piece of work. I like Bo and Cary? Spelling?
And yes people.. I confess I am a reality show junkie...

Thanks fenix for the information. With all his money he sure dresses bad, but it is probably his signature.
It should be an interesting Prime Time. I think most of the Prime Time shows are good. They sure have some interesting programs. That is all I watch on Wednesday.

I love Bo. I liked Constantine but there was something just a little too "bar band" about him. The Queen cover was flawless but generally I thought he was a bit cheesy. Carrie has a stunning voice and will make an excellent studio vocalist but she has almost no presence and I don't think she has really "owned" a song she has done all year. Simon finally hit on my big complaint about her last night, the girl is robotic. How do you perform MacArthur Park and during the entire performance manage only to move your shoulders?
I think in terms of long term appeal, Bo has the most going for him. He can sing, he can move, he's attractive and a literate interview, he has stage presence and unlike Carrie he actually learns all of his lyrics, not just the chorus.
BTW - you know the only reason we are still enduring Scott is because he is so bad right? Have you heard about votefortheworst.com?

Again, you are so right about Carrie.. she is beautiful, her voice is wonderful.. but she has no personality, and doesn't appeal to the younger set.. very old fashion.
I liked Anwar(spelling?) but again he didn't appeal to the young'uns..either
Bo should win..

I think the heavier one, I have no idea what his name is, has a beautiful voice for broadway. He really doesn't fit in as an Americal Idol because he doesn't sing the songs Idol's sing. If you know what I mean.
I like Bo. He has a lot of personality when he sings.
Constintine was on Regis and Kelly I think Tuesday. He sure is tall, but then again Regis is short so maybe he is not so tall. I really don't like the way they carry the mike around. Does that signify something?
Watched Prime Time. Maybe yes and Maybe no because we haven't heard the otherside of the story. He is going to be on Good Morning America in the morning.

Libra - are you sure you meant Scott? Good for Broadway? He has no projection and minimal breathing control. Besides, he can't stay on key to save his life. Now that he's gone it's kind of irrelevant but next time you watch the show, close your eyes and just listen. It's easy to "listen with your eyes" but when you shut them
you have to just use your ears.
You are right about Constantine, he is tall. He pretty much towered over everyone but Bo on the show. He was only a couple inches taller than Bo.

Yes I watched Primetime too and now I am not totally convinced that he isn't telling the truth.. I don't know how much truth.. and the obvious reason that he is doing this is for publicity...but, there may be something to his claims.. I hope we hear Paula's side too.
You know, I never liked Constantine all that much.. I don't like baby faces and his double chin really bothered me.. HA HA

Did I miss an episode tonight? You say Scott was voted off. Oh well that is good Bo is still around. Does anyone vote in here? I don't I wouldn't waste the 50cents or whatever it costs.
Anyone think that the only Idol that has really made it big is Clay Aikin or did I miss something. He seems to out and about more than the others.

Libra - Yes, Scott got voted off. I vote occasionally, have been lately only because the votefortheworst.com movement irritated me enough to want to counter their measures. It does not cost anything to vote, it is a toll free call.
Kelly has done very well also, she's the only winner that has. Rueben did not do that well and despite her great voice, Fantasia has not really been heard from either. I think they need a mainstream winner to do well as the R&B genre does not seem to be very welcoming. I think Bo could do extremely well post-Idol which I don't think is a statement that is true of any of the remaining three. Say Bye-Bye to Anthony next week. I think the semi finals will be decided on song selection. If Vonzel can select a good song her charisma will put her over on Carrie. Finals are Bo's for the taking.

I agree with Simon, this was Scott's best week, however it was Scott or Anthony's time. I couldn't watch Scott or Constantine, just close my eyes and listen. I think Scott sounds alot like Aaron Neville.
I have always liked Bo. I liked Anwar as well. I try not to compare stage presence between a true amateur (Scott, Carrie) and someone (Bo,Constantine) who's been performing for years.
Libra- You only pay to vote if you "text message". The toll-free number is "1-866-436-57--". I watch and vote every week. The only time I didn't pick the winner I voted for Clay Aikan instead of Ruben.

Twig that number you gave out is about as lame as the show you're watching-you're missing two numbers. When you call that number,I'd love to know who you're talking to.

ah.. come on old man.. tell us about some of the humorous things that you've seen over the years on the job as a police officer... I love to watch cops especially when there is a little humor involved.. like the episode where the 400 pound fat woman tied her 100 pound husband up with the telephone cord, sat him out on the lawn hog tied and waiting for the cops to turn up..
