HI abacaxi,

As a matter of fact we do. We have regular focus and testing groups in here all the time testing the design, product, etc.

ppd - thanks for your prompt reply. Please inform your mates that this could make you very popular overseas. Like many, the only way I receive payments from overseas is in cash, and many buyers balk at doing that.

When this happens I will be adding special wording to my auctions and invoices encouraging international bidders to bid on my items and try paypal to pay for them. Thanks.

paypaldamon- I agree with Peachy-You gotta be a cutie!
- it's very early in the morning and I've tried to digest alot of this whole Pay Pal fiasco, but I've still got questions: 1. HOW will fees be taken by x-com... through our accounts with Pay Pal or through a credit card or through our bank account? 2. I've used Pay Pal to pay my mom money I might owe her for unrelated auction stuff... does this mean if I do it in the future that she will be charged on that amount. She and I are both very small time eBay sellers. 3. When does all of this take effect?? 4. What about shipping charges? Will we be charged on that amount as well or will that be waived? I'd hate to have to pay on another $3.20 that I don't even see profit from.

Thanks PPD....

edited to add shipping cost question...

<<Instead of marking up the cost (as some other vendors do) we are basically passing that transaction cost on in order to keep the service free for personal accounts (your buyers)>>

In a word, WHY? That's absurd. Before PayPal came along, the auction buyer, not the seller, absorbed the cost of the transaction by using his personal check or purchasing a money order, as well as his stamp and envelope. With your new system the buyer pays nothing, and the seller now absorbs the transaction costs.

Let the buyer pay the extra 1.9% plus $.25 for HIS convenience. The seller already absorbs eBay's fees.

I won't use PayPal for auctions if it is a fee service. Checks and MO's work fine.

roxw: The fees are taken directly out of the full payment just as soon as it hits your Paypal account. With a business account this applies to any payment that comes in. Heather

Everyone,

The subject of PayPal has begun to dominate the eBay Outlook Forum. I am going to lock this thread, along with several other PayPal threads, and ask that you either post to the remaining PayPal thread in the eBay Outlook, or that you start a thread in the Partner Services Forum.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Pat
