I'm not a cold-hearted b!tch when it comes to the deaths or injuries of the troops and for you to compare it to traffic accidents is an insult to them all as well as to their friends and families. I think it's very anti-American and uncaring for you to do so.

I'm sorry I lost most of this thread today! Linda, I didnt say you did say it was illegal. That was my own thought on the matter. I guess it is kind of insensitive now that I think about it, but I am sure his mockery was to the admin and the pentagon, not the recruits. They've got big shoulders they can take a joke, cant they?

Ahem, Linda, I believe you took a little vacation because you violated a very big guideline. I heard some pretty nasty things coming out of your mouth as well especially when it seems like you've been backed into a corner.

I for one would call for his removal from HBO and any other station. I did with other statements that he has made and of course it was not because of me he lost his last job but I surely did complain probably along with many other to the station about his words about the military and he was taken off the air.

Hey Linda, I suppose it is a moral buster. But before this senator or congressman whatever he is from Ala, made it a huge issue, I dont think Maher has that big of an audience, and it wouldnt have gotten much attention. He's on cable. I'm sure many things he says could be made an issue out of? But as far as low lying fruit - isnt it a sort of synonym of grunts? I mean the military itself calls 'em grunts, they call themselves that. I heard that thrown forever among themselves, when we were military

Being careless about data that others have posted here and deliberately misrepresenting quotes is crude in my opinion. Refusing to back up remarks that you falsely accuse others of making is crude and offensive. Crude is using every opportunity that you can to label another poster as anti American or attributing thoughts to another poster without any basis in fact. Crude is a conversational style that begins with a derisive laughing out loud response to the previous poster's comment and using smiley faces in the same manner.
