Excellent research Bidsbids. Yesterday I checked out the "featured" sellers listed on the front page and the results were dismal at best. I saw one seller with almost 1,000 items and maybe 10 bids if that many. I got tired of looking at all the pages of worthless junk. Here is what one user said about the situation.

This is a strange site isn`t it. It is so user friendly and inexpensive to use but there are few bidders. I too can scroll down pages of white gold rings with no bids and crappy merchandise. The nicer stuff has a very high starting bid.

This Sept. I will use BV as a dumping ground for my unsold items on the Bay. I wish it didn`t have to be that way.

Just like yahoo was before fees.

Man, talk about a long conversation with yourself and this thread is it.

Just look at all the discussion going on about these stats. They are nearly as popular than dimview stats on the Usenet.

bump, this is the only thread I care about.

Why is YourDesign/YourStrange on a warpath anyway? Does he want to induce a cyber attack on Moo for so reason? Mootropolis is a site not worth visiting.

Who said anything about Mootropolis there bidsbids? You are the only one that mentioned it in this thread.

Plus, what? I am not on the warpath. I am helping AW's dying OOA area from being so dead. You of all people should appreciate me and respect what I am doing.

Keep up the good work. This thread should remain at the top so that we can further promote Bidville. You are doing a great job, and the information is so fascinating! I am in awe of your statistical ability!

All those members and listings means that Bidville is still the top Second Tier site.

Thumbs up, bidsbids!

I suppose disrupting an auction website makes you a hero over at the losers site eh, YourStrange? Isn't that what Patty is paying her hard-earned money to stop on her site? Kinda ironic isn't it? If you're on Patty's site and attacking the competitor's site it's okay but not the other way around? I guess you don't think like Patty.

Patty declared war on AD and as the old saying goes "never draw your gun unless you plan to use it". AD or some lunatic seller(s) will cause so much havoc with her site and cost her so much money that she will close the site. That's an easy prediction to make. Then where will you go?

bidsbids, why are you having such a terrible time staying on topic? It is YOUR topic afterall! I just bumped it because I read this was the one you really cared about.

I am not talking about Mootropolis.com, you are. I haven't even tried to mention it in tons of posts. What is your fascination with such a great site as the Moo? Patty hasn't declared war on AD, she even mentioned having several conversations with GT as of late that were very reasonable. You know this, of course, because you read Moo all the time. BUT, enough of being off-topic.

I am also not disrupting ANY auction website, I am simply posting here at AW and getting the old coversation bag going. You have a problem with conversation and discussion?

Also, what is with the insults? I am not insulting you or calling you names? We are both adults, we can play outside the sandbox now, and really get some good discussions going. You do want to continue to support AuctionWatch don't you? I wouldn't derail your own thread, that might not be a good idea.

Good job, Deichen. See! Another positive experience!

Hey, this is a good number here...

873 items listed average

That is excellent! I never knew so many people could list that many auctions. Must be possible using that solid bulk lister Bidville has at the site.
