Thanks for trying Damon, but I think best idea is to cut and paste, too many having fun at your expense.
BTW, since PayPal has come back online my funds are now in Pesos, should I be concerned?

Not to be sarcastic...BUT...You guys are giving Damon WAY TO MUCH credit here.
What in the heck has he done to be commended?
The first day the sh!t hit the fan he goes on every message board that even remotely has anything to do with paypal and "cuts & paste" a incoherant malarky filled message, then DISSAPPEARS for 4+ days now. NOT ONE WORD from the PayPal Team or Damon.
Even a "no were not going to bail on our members" or "we are now working on something for EVERYONES satisfaction" or "Please, things will remain AS WAS till we can formulate a plan that fits everyones needs".
Really, any kind of message would have been better then the DEAD SILENCE.
There is nothing worse then having to drawn your own conclusions on the crap that was thrown at us.
By the way I NEVER did get the pop-up message to up-grade when I logged onto PayPal.
Maybe they were targeting certain people!

packer You're just a little bucket of sunshine today!
I guess sometimes I forget that Paypaldamon is the gremlin stirring up all of the problems at PayPal. Of course we should be mad with HIM, personally! Let's tar and feather him! Hurry, get him while he's still here!!! By the way we've been commending him for his poise, you'd think he was just a rep for the company, and not the machine itself!
Sorry, but I think he's done a good job. Paypal customers need to vent.... sure. But don't shoot the messenger.
He's just their rep.... he's not the cause of our problems.

Hi,
Our web host had some issues this morning, thereby making the site unavailable for a period. I just accessed my account and I was able to get in.
If you can't access it, please clear your cache/cookies to see if it will let you in. If not, please let me know and I will report the issue to QA.

Oooh, I see now.
Damon's "cut & paste", that was his "FINAL answer" to the many questions posed.
I find that interesting that you see it that way.
For the record I haven't been bashing paypal, I have freely admitted that "I LOVE PAYPAL". I've been hanging back(until today)waiting to hear some answers to some of the questions asked about the service.
My mistake...they have been answered and I didn't even know it.
Now I can proceed. Which will be no LOGO on auction page advertising there service. But keeping the account open for those who can't read TOS. Lord knows there are enough threads on that subject.

Hi packer,
I spent the last few days complining your concerns and the concerns of fellow posters. I don't think it would be correct to answer questions that have not been defined at this time simply because it would only add to the confusion and frustration.
In addition, this is one of only numerous forums that I peruse looking for customer issues or potential issues.
I do not write policy, but I do report concerns over policy and potential policy change so that they can be addressed. The current issue generated more than 1000 posts in this discussion forum alone and there is no humanly way possible, as I noted several times, that I can reply to each and every post, especially noting the fact that many of the concerns were one and the same.
In order to get these items addressed, I had to compile all of the concerns and report them.It may not be readily apparent, but there is action being taken on the very questions that were posed.

I didn't know there were outstanding questions -- I'll admit I stopped reading some of the PayPal threads quite a while ago. Let me amend my original statement: Damon has answered everything he has the authority to answer. If PayPal hasn't laid out rules for certain issues (the number of transactions one should have in order to qualify as a "seller" comes to mind), Damon can't give us that information. He's here as a representative the company and is limited in the scope of what he can say.
Despite a lack of complete disclosure, PayPalDamon's conduct on these boards has been admirable, IMHO. Perhaps I'm just comparing him to those clowns from BidBay (remember them?) who when confronted behaved like bratty junior high schoolers. Professional conduct counts for a lot.

Humorless and proud of it.

Thank You Damon,
I think all any of us wanted to know is that this situation was being looked at and it will be address.
I have to tell you that the DEAD SILENCE didn't do a thing for the PayPal business.
I for one never expected you to answer in every single thread. I traveled back to the Partner Sevices (where you initially posted) every couple of hours hoping to see an update from you. You know..anything said would have been better then the Silence.
Of corse this is just my own opinion of the way I viewed this whole dilema.
In spite of everything...You Have a GOOD DAY!!

RainyBear Well said. I think frustration levels are very high and a lot of us are more than a little agrivated that a financial institution that couldn't make it merged with a successful customer base and now WE have to pay for services that we neither wanted nor asked for and the services that we DO want and asked for are merely a balloon in a cloudy sky. But, Damon HAS conducted himself in a businesslike manner through all of the shots, too. You are right that it isn't HIS fault that he doesn't have more concrete answers for us.
packer "I think all any of us wanted to know is that this situation was being looked at and it will be address. I have to tell you that the DEAD SILENCE didn't do a thing for the PayPal business.
Yep! I just wanted to know that my concerns were heard and that they were rethinking some of those new little rules. Like charging us for NON-CHARGE CARD transactions and the flat fees that they guaranteed they would NEVER do! Cripes!
Anyway, I digress...sorry...you are right that it does help to know that they are looking into the discussions and thinking about changes---possibly...
Thank you Damon for being business like and at least giving us a little hope that you (being PayPal, not being Damon the person) ARE listening.
