Forgot one thing. I am probably the oldest on this board. Quit picking on the elderly.
Yes dbl I am a grandma to a 17 month rug rat who doesn't like to stand still. But I love her. Also a grandma to a 8 year old who when she comes over screws up my computer. But I love her also. Ain't life grand..

I think maybe you might want to sit back and wonder why YOU feel compelled to do these things you're accusing "some" of doing. What are your reasons for continuing to post personal things others do or don't do when you have NO IDEA what their life is like...
but it sure hasn't stopped you from doing it, kiara. Look inward, you might find the answers to the question you seek.

Libra63, when you made that comment about other boards you read and that they aren't like this one I followed up with my comment which was made directly to you. I asked you the question and it came directly from me. They were my thoughts alone and I take responsibility for them.
Of course I don't know what boards you go and nowhere did I try to tell others about you or the boards you go to.
Name-calling isn't only done here, it's also done on some craft boards, webhosting and design boards, doll boards, stock boards and numerous others.
The forum that a good many jumped to when Vendio announced the CC rule has a similar RT format with lots of name-calling. The owner has a warning on it. Yes, there are civil boards out there and each person has the choice to post where they wish and what they wish.
Linda_k, I didn't fabricate a story about Libra63 and then speak to others for her or about what she believes in. I spoke directly to her.

Kiara, my hands shake to bad to do crafts so I don't visit those boards as it is almost impossible for me to do them.
And it doesn't matter what boards I visit. they all make for interesting reading.

Well this is in Vendio user agreement for community boards.
e) Abuse. Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.

Libra - Off topic and you don't need to reply.
But since you mentioned your tremors I was just wondering if you're aware that there are new meds out now that REALLY help with the shaking.
My MIL has had arm/hand/head[neck] tremors for years and it's really gotten worse as each year passed. But her doctor just put her on a new med and boy it's cut them back by *at least 1/2*, maybe more from what they were. If you're not already taking medication for yours and would like to know the name of hers, I'd be glad to find out for you.

Libra63, I meant on the other auction site board that the warning was that it was a more heated discussion board than a casual conversation one. I just checked and it has a red stop sign and an explanation so others will be aware of the type of board it is so they may expect some name calling. Sorry if you misunderstood.
Perhaps Vendio should consider it here for the more sensitive posters or those that don't like heated discussions.

Well I have other problems that I am taking medication for. I was on Zoloft and had to quit that. But I have been on nexium, prilosec, tagement since 1970 so I have to be careful of what medicines I take. I had severe bleeding ulcers and I sure don't want that again. My shaking isn't visiable to the eye, it is only when I try and write. So guess what, I don't write. It gives me an excuse not to send cards. Well to be honest I never sent cards.
Thanks for your thoughts though.

Bear, please show me proof of where I have fabricated stories about others and their beliefs and then taken it upon myself to keep speaking for them and about them and telling others over and over what that person believes in.

Who are you or others here to decide what is acceptable to anyone except yourself?
You say this is just a message board, however some posting here are paying for this privilege, maybe you and those who want to dish and serve verbal abuse should consider that other board as it sounds like they allow anything that goes.
What I don't understand is why any adult would feel the need to call another adult a name? Trying to separate this from the real world is just ridiculous as this now part of the "real" world. Computers aren't a fad they are here to stay.

It's seldom that I call anyone names here. In fact Libra63 has noted several times that I'm not one of the name callers.
I think you've missed the point of this conversation completely. I've never once said I'm the one to decide what others do here and I've mentioned more than once that each person is responsible for their own actions.
It was about the ones that constantly try to speak for others, always jump in and answer questions that are addressed to a different person entirely or also make up stories about who another person is, what someone else believes in and then announce it to the board.
I never said that they couldn't do it but question if they did that to impress others or because they felt threatened by that other person's beliefs or true identity. Or perhaps they don't have a valid point to debate so will deliberately turn the conversation to get a rise out of the other person?
Looks like the point I was making flew right over most heads.

I agree that anyone can post anything they wish to here, even the lies that they've made up about me or others. I agree that anyone can speak for anyone else..... that anyone can jump in and answer a question that was directly asked to someone else.
Is that clear?
But who are they trying to impress when they try to talk for others and do they feel threatened by the opinions that the other person has so they have to constantly post their own beliefs about them?
Who are they trying to fool when readers can actually view the other person's own words about what that person believes in?
Maybe it's rhetorical questions but food for thought.

Kiara, you're missing the MAIN point....this chat room is linduh's entire life...it's the most important thing (the ONLY thing)....you 've seen the number of posts explaining every little boring nuance of her existence.
She repeats and repeats how other's opinions mean nothing to her and then posts and posts her own gibberish to do...what ??? Why?
If others opinions mean nothing then why does she go through such great lengths to explain herself.....and , Kiara, she's been doing this as I understand it for five years!
