I once was contacted by my merchant bank to say that a bidder who had purchased a laser printer 4 months ago, was claiming it was an unauthorized use of his CC. I showed them proof of delivery to his home address. He claimed that his son ordered it without his permission. I argued that if he let his son use his CC and accepted the package it was his problem. The merchant bank tried to argue that it was my problem. I told them that if they allowed the charge back, I would have my son order thousands of dollars of merchandise on my card and do the same thing. And they were the bank for my card. They disallowed it.

Years ago I was drafted to babysit for a 6 year old cousin who was a terror. He was incredibly spoiled and long overdue for a spanking. I told my parents that if I was drafted to babysit, I would do it my way and if they didnt like it, they should find someone else. It started off typical for that household. He ruined one sister's school project, hid the other's glasses and acted like the title characters from Gremlins. At one point as I was helping his sister, he got on a chair behind me and kicked me in the back. I turned and slapped him. He put a hand to his face for about a minute and I could see the thought processes. "This is what's called a slap. I have never been slapped. How am I supposed to react? I think I'm supposed to cry." Finally, he cried and told me I would be in trouble when his father came home. "My father is going to beat you up!" he yelled.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you're not supposed to hit me."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm younger than you and you can't hit people younger than you."
"I'm younger than your father," I pointed out, "so he cant hit me."
He behaved when I was around, ever since.

Let the "child" return the item. Don't refund the item. When asked why there is no refund, tell them you are holding your breath until they go away!

Number one:
Everything the original poster said is absolutely untrue. A minor can not be held to the terms of an UNCOMPLETED Contract. However, once the contract is complete, there is no longer a contract, otherwise there would be EXTREMELY MASSIVE returns a day before a individual turns 18.
Plus, we now need the picture of the troll, if you please....

Another note:
Even in an uncompleted contract, money generally does not have to be returned, such as payments on a car loan. The minor doesn't have to continue making payments, but he has to return the property and the payments made do not have to be refunded.

Sorry, you are incorrect.

Minors can rescind any contract, priod.

In every State a minor can complete a transaction and rescind the contract at any time.

I know a fellow who sold a car to a kid, the kid trashed it, and the judge made the guy give the kid a full refund.
