---The males were direct and to the point...get the job accomplished....not vicious nor argumentative nor petty.---
LindaK it appears that you think YOUR experience is the benchmark.
Well it's not. Because if our own personal experience is the rule then my personal experiences have shown that there virtually is no difference between male and female bosses.
I have seen dithering men who can't get anything done, vicious and unrealistically demanding. I also have had female bosses who were competent, fair, knowledgeable and got the job done. And I've seen a mixture of all of the above.
There is NO norm.
Men and women are individuals and I don't care what any "study" says. Real life is what counts.

logansdad - The answer to your:
And how is the different than any other nominee making promises before they are elected?
Is called recorded votes they've made. They can promise all they want...they can appear to be changing their positions....but their past voting records are what informed voters will review and see where they stood BEFORE they decided to pretend they were more moderates. [They being h. clinton and kerry]
-----------------
And on women earning less.....part is because they say they want equality but ONLY when they choose it/where they choose it. A lot of women aren't willing to work at the same jobs men to....if it's too physically challenging....too dirty ....too etc.
Plus women who want/choose to have families loose out on all those years they aren't working....aren't receiving merit advances...that their male counterparts did while the women were gone.
There's several reason men make more than women.....but when wages are compared for the exact same jobs.....time spent working at that career....they do make equal wages.

Maggie, they would have give up getting alimony, getting the children. Preferential treatment with government contracts, at work for pregnancies. To name a few.
Most women would not be willing to give that up.
Oh and mingotree your pay scale has been debunked quite often. When they did that they included some of the most dangerous jobs and in which few if any women work.
Take those wages away and you will find it is quite close and in some cases women make more.

Poor LindaK sure has a sick obsession with this crowfarm
She then says,--maggie and I were exchanging PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.....go assume something about someone else, crowfarm.--
Again YOUR personal experiences are not the end all and be all of women and men in the work place....your notorious tunnel vision is showing
She then says,--.....part is because they say they want equality but ONLY when they choose it/where they choose it. Again lumping all women together like cattle, maybe you are, but there are many INDIVIDUAL women in this country....they are all not YOU (thank God!)
There are also many men who fit this description"".....

More myths designed to help "keep women in their place"
They would have an EQUAL chance to get custody of the kids .
Alimony, yes, it should go.
I don't know what "at work for pregnancies " means but if you mean time off for having a baby, yes, they should, and the father should (and does) get equal time.

Cheryl, You sure did ring old etax and Linda-Links bell. They are both so threatened and insure in their positions its fun to watch them freak out and go nuts.
I personally don't believe the Dems will run Hilary for President. But who knows?

peepa, insure??? LOL
Nothing of the sort....our guys going to be in office for 3 1/2 more years.
As anyone here knows....things change quickly in politics....even daily...weekly....so what's going to happen 3 and 1/2 years from now.....doesn't worry me one bit. Especially IF the dem party at that time STILL has no ideas.....THEN we'll see another Republican in the WH.

Hey Linda_K and etex, I don't usually spend a lot of time making a post. You both got my message about your insecurities plus you both show them everyday with your posts. No kidding like clock work all anyone has to do is mention the name Clinton and you both freak out big time by making post after post. It is very funny to watch. I have also noticed when both of your get exposed and have nothing to say about it, you both fall back and say something like this "I was just expressing my opinion". LOL
JUST REMEMBER UNLIKE BUSH WHEN CLINTON LIED NOBODY DIED.
I hope I spelled that correctly so you can both get another message about your President.
In the 2006 elections your President will become even more ineffective and have to kiss butt even more to get anything done.

Mingotree, people with Linda_K's and etexbill's mind set are for the most part finished. They know it, you and I know it, and now the majority of the American people know it.
JUST REMEMBER LINDA AND BILL UNLIKE BUSH,CHENEY AND ROVE WHEN CLINTON LIED NOBODY DIED!!!!!
