It just occurred to me that it doesn't say it has a CD ROM ,... shoot.. I guess I'll have to purchase one separately..
It came with some softwear and service Support and a Color printer.

Mags - the dual drive of yours should run CDs as well as DVD's. NOt positive but I'm assuming it's the same as the Mac combo drives which do both.

yo magster-even a basic computer will run cds as all programs that you buy are in cd format.
Some of the more advanced ones play dvds,but why in hell you want to play a dvd in computer is beyond me-the resolution blows.In the most advance ones now they have dvd "burners" which you can make your own dvds.
meant to ask you how much did this cost?

Mingo/CF, I was going to let this one pass, but some might believe your spews. I guess you didn’t read my post quoted below in reply to the classic post. It’s there in black and white, but you prefer to twist, lie, and rant. Are you not aware that people can read your spews and then look above and see that you are posting what is exactly the opposite of the truth.

Hey Classy, my computer cost 1598.00 but I got a rebate that brought it down to approx.1200.00 so, not to bad eh.
Etex accuses mingo of preferring to twist, lie and rant while calling her posts "spews" in the same post that he leads you to believe that he is a geltleman. Although he may be a "gentleman" to come to 'your' defense, do you notice that he treats others here with no respect whatsoever. Maybe he is just fascinated with your "kinder gentler version" ..... an adaptation that many here refuse to take.

Helen, I think Mingo missed Etex's comments to Classic..Mingo thought Etex was defending the insults..while in actuality he was not.
Now, as far as how Etex treats others, I don't see him giving more than he gets...and that can be said about most of us here.. we all sling it and get hit with it back in turn..some just sling with more acuity and precision..
Mingo doesn't even flinch, she's the Ever Ready Bunny..just keeps on going..or was that the Timex watch?LOL
As far as your statement about many who refuse to adapt to rules and regulations here.. I say, good for them and I wish I could still do the same. I, unfortunately am hanging by a thin thread with scissors poised and ready to snip..so, I have to swallow the bile and like it...

Maggie, how many keybaords did you get? Do you only have one? If you do you should consider getting a few more so you can tabs on classic a little more.

We have three computers that are using a cable modem right now. Two are using via a wireless connection
The main computer is hooked up to the cable modem.
There is a network cord that runs from the cable modem to the wireless router.
The two other computers have a USB wireless adapter that use the signal from the wireless router.
The cable modem and the two wireless adapters are both made by Linksys. There are other brans but don't know much about them but I am sure they will work in the same way.
Don't forget to encrypt your network. You wouldnt want any Republicans using your signal or getting into your computer from the outside.

dont know maggie-my twin nephew just got a new HP for $800.00-but you can also burn dvds with it.
