You're welcome kasue. Let me know if you have any problems.
You can also change the URL in twinsofts to the one that I just gave you and it will work on that one as well.

Hi. I also don't know if eBay will disapprove of the link. Since it goes to PayDirect and not Yahoo Auctions, I don't think there will be a problem.
Regarding the link, I think if you've set your PayDirect preferences to automatically remember your username and password, it jumps you to the "enter secure key" page. A user without an account doesn't have a secure key, so there's no reason Yahoo would send them there.

Pretty neat anti-PayPal buttons. Who knows, I may have to employ them very soon.

I think Yahoo changed the URL since we did it. I went back and check it. Try this one:
<a href="http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/paydirect.html">Click here for Yahoo! PayDirect<img src="http://YOUR URL
HERE"></a>
Labbie you are linking to the promotion site they always change URL on those and when the promo over they just take it down. I do it on my web pages all the time. If they are meant to be temp. pages. What you want to do is link to the main page for Yahoo Paydirect. That will will be a stable site and you won't have to go in and change the address again and it can save you a lot of work. The main site to Paydirect is http://paydirect.yahoo.com and that would be an address that would stay stable and one that you wouldn't have to go in and change all the time.

your button mentions Yahoo; is eBay going to stroke over this? >>
I was wondering this myself that is why I kept it off the one I did. I don't even add a link to Paydirect. I just say that the link will be given to highest bidder in the E_mail. About a year ago I had about 25 auctions up I had a link to my chaplets site on some of them that had a link to my contents page and this page had a link to my ebay and Yahoo Auctions and Ebay took all those auctions down. I even forgot that I had the link there. For someone to see it they had to go from my ebay auction to my chaplets site then from there go to my contents page of all my websites the go to Yahoo. Taking down my auctions seemed rather extreme to me. Ebay wrote and told me that it violated their polices to have any other auction site link ANYWHERE to any of the links I put on an Ebay page. They could have just wrote and asked me to take it out of my auctions no problem. However, they just deleted the auctions with NO warning. So, for myself I just decided not to take the chance on linking. And I just put this in my auctions along with the small banner. I have done this for about a month and it seems to be working very smoothly. I have only had 2 ask about that other service all the rest that like to pay on line just want right to Paydirect. A few like it much better. If anyone can use it feel free to. Afterall someone should benefit from my $45,000 marketing & Business degree ; ) <LOL> Actaully most of it is right from the Paydirect adds.
Pay ONLINE with PAYDIRECT . Visa and Master Card taken by PayDirect a service that lets you send or receive money online safely from an account you fund with your credit card or checking account (free secured service). Link to be sent along in winning bid E-mail.

twinsoft: Saving a $200 or month in Paypal fees, at 1.9% thats a little over $10,000 per month in credit card sales alone, or $120,000 per year. You will need to start looking for another free site soon. LOL ED

Yea they both work.
Here is one my marketing teacher in college would have liked "Shooting stars are bad for business go with the cash cow Paydirect."

By reading this thread, I went to open a PayDirect account, and guess what?
I need to place a CC on file to activate the account.
I don't own, want or need a CC, so good riddance.
I'll stay with PayPal.

You even have to do that now to bid and buy on Yahoo. Some are upset by it. I think it has helped get rid of the deadbeats and sellers that get kicked of and come back under another name. it may keep some away like yourself but over all I think it will help improve the customer base on Yahoo and get ride of the kids that like to play jokes by bidding on everything the see. it has improved Yahoo on the whole I think.

You don't really need to have a credit card on file. You can use your debit card.

I emailed Timesensitive and asked if I can link directly to Yahoo PayDirect and was told that is was ok. They just don't allow you to link directly to the Yahoo auction site.

Outoftheblue, thanks for that info.
I think Yahoo is smart to require credit card identification, and I wish eBay would do the same.

I thought Ebay did require new users last year and from then on to use a CC? Not so?

I thought that you only had to have a CC if you were selling or if you had an anonymous e-mail account (yahoo, hotmail, excite, etc.)
I could be wrong...

Labbie last night as I was looking through Yahoo stuff I saw something to this affect above. I think it was a mis-print though because everywhere else it was just stated that you need a CC. I am more and more in favor of the CC because it cuts down on deadbeats not that I get a lot but a lots less now. I have more deadbeats on ebay now though I don't have a lot there either. However, both places do seem to be taking longer to pay. Accept for the ones that pay paydirect. You know after about what 6-8 weeks of using them I am really impressed. Smooth fast quick much less hassle then paypal. I have only had one person that didn't care to sign up compared to quite a few that have. I also only use paydirect now to shop on the auctions. If the auction doesn't take paydirect I just go to one that does because it is so easy for me.

Hi Traceyg--"I thought that you only had to have a CC if you were selling or if you had an anonymous e-mail account (yahoo, hotmail, excite, etc.) "
That was in regards to Ebay. I believe that on Ebay you only have to have the CC to sell or if you have an anonymous E-mail account. Sorry! I should have been more clear.
