You can do the math but I have left 985, and have received 802. Now recently I discovered a Ebay Power Seller who has 5,732 but has only left 2,623!!!!
I wrote this seller 3X's asking if they'd post feedback for me---they would respond with I'll do it soon etc.! (heck in time it took to reply -they could have posted FB for me) Well I finally wrote seller and basically explained that by not posting FB for me they were saying to me that they did not want nor need my money or my business etc.!
Still no FB was left---then I discovered that seller had just recently left a FB 5 days after auction for a buyer who paid $400.00+ for an autographed baseball!!!
GEEZ whats this SELECTIVE Feedback postings?
I at this time had spent well over $400.00 on sellers items in numerous purchases--SO NOW I was hotter then a pistol!!!
Wrote seller and said geeeez is that how I can get you to acknowledge my purchases and place FB for me--by buying a $400.00 Baseball from you ????????????
I busted seller royally--and whole time I'm being told by seller I'll leave FB soon! HA!!Little did this seller know I had a place to pull up all their left FB and they were like 6 months+++ behind in posting for there buyers---so I also sent the totals you see above for this Power seller stating it looks too late to post FB now for those that purchased from you--cuz ebay won't leave that FB option to post open forever!!
YES YES YES I know I got a little off the subjet of original post but someone said something like maybe having too much FB may make bidder wonder if seller is too big to care---and in the situation I mention above that was EXACTLY THE CASE---why should they care they have 5,000+ on their name!!! Still irks me when I think about it--OH by the way FINALLY DID GET MY FB from that seller!! Took being persistent--but ya know what I was not gonna leave it alone--normally I would never ask like I did but I thought HEY this isn't fair--OH also I had left GLORIUS Raving FB for this Power Seller weeks before I hounded them to reciprocate!

On my main account which I use primarily for selling my ratio is 69% (216 received/311 left).

My buying account is at 79% (19/24).

My conclusion is that in general sellers care more about feedback and therefore leave it more often than those who are exclusively buyers.

I guess everyone by now knows how to see feedback left by another...if not just add the eBay ID after the = sign on the following link.

BTW just checked and 2025 left and 1377 received. Still wish eBay would show the feedback "left" when you click on the feedback link. It would quickly get rid of the sandbaggers of which there are many.

Thats like saying everybody KNOWS what Ebay is!! I meet people all the time that have never even heard of it! So have to think alot are also not familiar with how to see other FB left by other ebayers--Myself I use a service that allows me to pull up all NEGS & Neutrals left by ANY ebayer on a separate page as well....
Boy oh boy, can that be some interesting reading!!!

Not too bad. I've left about 250 and received 200. Haven't received any negs or neutrals and haven't given any. There were a few times when I just decided not to say anything at all. When I first started out there was one time when my reserve was very close to being met when the auction ended, so I asked the high bidder if they wanted it at the reserve and they declined. The backup bidder was very close as well and so I emailed her too. She wanted it but the transaction was disaster from the beginning. I wish I could have given her a negative! Since then I just stick to transactions where feedback applies.

I have left 14.

Have received 3,975.

Pretty good, eh? But that was in the days before feedback was only transaction related...

Total feedbacks 1043
Total unique FB 917

FB I've left: 1273

Ratio (all): 81.9%
Ratio (unique): 72.0%

I'm sure there are a bunch of transactions I
didn't leave FB for when I was first getting started 3 years ago. And possibly more buyers
who didn't leave FB for me, so it balances out. Now I leave routinely positive feedback when I receive payment. Have only been burned
by a couple of bad checks that bounced AFTER
FB was left.
