LOL piinthesky - How you looked 25 years ago has sure surprised the ladies here. Reminds me of how I felt when I saw a picture of bunnicula for the first time - and when she spoke about her tattoos. How I had her pictured in my mind, as a typical elderly librarian, was so far off from the way she actually looked...I was shocked too.
I wouldn't have EVER pictured her that way.
I LOVE the hat you had on in your picture. LOL .....and yes, you did look like the kind of guy MOST Mom's warned their daughters to stay away from. I know mine did.
But 25 years is a long time ... and people change... settle down. Have you changed or are you still a 'rough, tough, roudy' type guy?
By your posts here....I'd say you have ....am I all off base??

Oh yeah, i'm rough and ready for anything life has to throw at me but i like to think that as i've aged my temperment has mellowed just a little. Of course that had alot to do with selling the bike, shaving the beard, quitting drinking, not hanging around with the same old crowd, etc.
It's funny how some have their view of others and then how that changes after seeing them for real. I'm sure how i view some here may be off base as well.
Caroline, 'a geeky 20 year old' huh? I don't think you EVEN want to see how i view you. LOL

Pi - nothing surprises me about the new breed of bikers. One of my favorite times in Tijuana is just before Christmas when all the different clubs from SoCal do a "Bike Run" of a whole different kind. They all bring down bicycles for the kids. Avenida Revolucion (the main tourist drag) is lined up on both sides with bikes and bikers from all over and tooling around and between the bikes are the happy recipients of their gifts. It's a blast to see four or five grizzled old bikers in their colors standing by their bikes break into sh*t eating proud papa grins as they see some little munchkin comes peddling past on a bike they brought down.

Wow, do we ever have some handsome dudes here!
Bear, you remind me of Jeff Healey, the blues guitar player. I totally had you pictured as the Grizzly Adams type with suspenders and a plaid shirt, chopping down trees with your bare hands and that kind of thing.
Pi, I pictured you as thin and about 30. Your picture reminds me of the Cheech & Chong movie where they had the bike in the livingroom. That's a hoot!
Thanks for sharing.

Many a time i can remember being in my livingroom looking at my bike and then i'd start it up and rev the engine. I had straight pipes, no mufflers, it was loud and it shook the walls. One time when i did this, while drunk, i accidentally put it in gear, i popped the clutch, it shot forward and went right through a wall. I had to move after that.
Fenix, Toys For Tots, i used to like going to those runs and it was allways funny watching all the hardcore bikers with teddy bears and all manner of kids toys strapped to their bikes to donate but it was fun and a good cause. They do those runs here as a coop operation with the US Marines and the local police block the traffic so every rider can just roll on through the red lights.
Allright Kraft, Fenix, Linda, who else? Post a pic, let us get a look at you and we'll see if our visions in our heads matches what you really look like.

I am extremely photo shy - I'll see what I can find when I get to my mothers. Somewhere there is a pic of me in a hijab and burqa.

BTW Pi - this run is seperate from the Toys for Tots run. They do that one too with everything but at this run they only bring wheels toys. 10 Speeds, Big Wheels, little Trikes. They set up a big stage and pick kids from the crowd in the appropriate age range for the bike of the moment and give out hundreds.

Fenix--I, too, am photo-shy and have been since I was a kid. In fact, only 2 photos exist of me from childhood (one when I was a couple of weeks old, and another one I was forced to sit for with my sister when I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade). I do have a couple of myself in costumes for Halloween, as an adult.
But I just discovered a rare photo of myself without costume or make-up today! It was taken about a year ago:

Thanks, Maggie! But remember: I was 49 at the time, so not surprising I didn't look 50...

Never mind you have all the women on the board swooning over your photos now..so you're turning on me too...
I'll bet...but let me know when you fall asleep & dream of me all night long.
Kraft, I'll try to locate a photo of me with the full red beard. It put Grizzly Adams to shame. Never was too fond of plaid or suspenders. (Or bow ties for that matter).
Years ago I was mistaken for Charles Daniels.
I gave my liberal neighbors son a book for his birthday. He went crazy trying to find where to put the batteries.

Bunni - There are tons of pics from when I was little - My grandmother bought some portrait package and I went off to the studio every six months. I think it scarred me

Know what you mean, Fenix. That 2nd or 3rd grade portrait of me? My mother made me have my hair curled for it. I HATED THAT!!!!!! Every time she forced that on me it took mea couple of weeks to get the $%#@!%$#!! curls out again...

What a lot of fog and filthy air.

Stonecold is obsessed with my witches brew but he'll never have it.
Make haste; the loon will soon be back again!

Good witch, bad witch I see.
Fair is foul, and foul is fair;
Hush....Something wicked this way comes.
Cool the Stone with a baboon's blood til he's cold, cold, Cold.
Then into the hot cauldron, toss the dumb sob.
