Yeah, where's Double? I'd like to know how many posts she made as Neroter. Also, I think her Neroter posts should count as 2 because they were so long and full of untamed intelligence.

Well krafty, after some fun dumpster-diving today (Thanks Pi, for the idea - got my packing materials - I didnt have to 'dive' they were in a box outside a dumpster behind a furniture store - but god, did that feel awful. Junk dealer extradinare! I gotta get a new life here.) Then after packing up some furniture the hubby took me out to eat some indian food, and those spices will mellow ya-out good..(I had lamb vindaloo) so I just woke up, and here I is again. 
Why is it my words have such an striking effect on you?
I dont know who posts the most, but crow/mingotree takes up the most bandwidth per thread with nothingness. If they charged for it, he/she would be broke by now!

Classic, I think that you are right. At that time, the group here was more compatable...not divided into extreme left and right factions with no buffer or links between the two groups.
I think that most of those people were united by Krs's charisma, intelligence and leadership.

Oh helen....you know that's not true. Those on that link were a handful of the number of posters who then posted here.
Plus we had moderators who wouldn't allow things to get bad. Michelle is on that link...SHE was one of the moderators.

so did they ever talk about politcs,or just things in general.The reason I ask is,when other topics are discussed here-MOST of the people seem more reasonable or friendly.

Oh God, classic, you would have had a field day here...in those days. Seriously.
Like I said, the moderators really could be stern at times...and were...suspending people right and left...but for different, shorter periods of time. Like a couple days...a week...etc.
But yes, we discussed politics...all the time. It's just that most, not all, of those names that were on that link were ones that weren't confrontational people....usually...board sweethearts...like our NearTheSea...might disagree but in a nice way. Course maybe three or four, like helen, krs, chocolate were more like it is now...but we were more constrained by the moderators. We KNEW we'd be booted if we got out of line.
Plus one of the funniest things...and this is what I meant when I said you would have gotten a kick out of if...was when anyone from 'their side' did get suspended...their supporters [those who agreed with their political positions] would RUN to what was then called the moderators corner...and argue with the moderators about why their 'cohort' didn't deserve to be suspended. Then the other side would come and argue why they agreed they should have been. Kind of like a kangaroo court.
Then some would argue with the moderator. LOL god, it was funny and much more fun in those days.
But if you could only have seen how helen idolized krs...she was like a little girl in love. Hung on his every word...agreed with him almost 100% and if he ever said anything kind of mean to her, she was CRUSHED...crushed to the bone and you could see it in print.
I swear the above is true. It was soooo funny to watch. Talk about 'lapdogs' you've never seen anything like how she was with 'her' krs here on these boards.
edited to also add: That in those days, with so many more posters we did have more what was then called 'fluff' threads. Fun, sharing ourselves, our lives with one another. So...since there was more 'balance' here then....yes, one could see we all got along quite well when NOT discussing politics or religion.
As is normal in our real world.

I've been coming in here about a year and a half,although I came on Vendio in 2001 when it was Auction Watch.The thing that really attracted me to Auction Watch was their "search engine" You could lets say put in a search for a video,and the results would come up from Ebay,Yahoo and Amazon.com-and this was when Yahoo was doing quite well.So it was a great feature,until that ugly b*tch put an end to it.
PS-ya know Helens gonna come in here and deny what you said LOL

I don't think so this time, classic.
She really adored krs. I think she'd have a hard time not being truthful about this one....sincerely. I've never seen her that way with any other poster..then...or since. I think he was the only one able to 'break through' her prim and proper ways and make her feel like a true woman....alive....not a bundle of frustration. But she really did admire him...all could see that.
I came here around Sept or Oct. of 1998...at that time tons of sellers were pissed off at ebay...as many still are now ...and we came here because the ebay chat board moderators wouldn't let us talk honestly about our frustrations with them. They'd erase the posts...guess they felt it was negative advertizing . Remember then they hadn't gone public...were still a private, growing small business.
And the RT wasn't here....we had the mixed threads on the EO part of AW/Vendio. So...the serious sellers would get upset about the 'fluff' threads...they wanted ONLY business stuff discussed....and so we all asked AW if they would give us a place to chat. They did....and a poster named Maui....who now posts as Hepburn...might see that name discussed on other boards....came down here [RT] and posted how she was driving around on her 'hog' in the empty aisles...waiting for others to join her in dicussing her 'ponderments' of life. Yes, you would have enjoyed it back then. It was fun...lots of fun....not like all the bitterness you see here now. Much more playful.
Plus we do still have two other posters who still post here on our boards....who also were here back then....but now they're using different userids...and so, unlike helen and I, don't appear to want to let that be know.  And that's okay too...but they probably could share some hysterical memories from back in those days with you too.

I'm not being nasty, venomous and stating untruths...I'm sharing how I saw and experienced these boards way back then.
Loosen up helen...let them see this other side that you 'hide' from people now. Piinthesky...tries to bring it out of you....he knows it's there...just waiting to be released again.

But now many of those old posters who started out here...post on OTWA chat boards...and others too. But otwa is pretty much moderated by Jim and his wife. Kind of keeps the vicious level down...pretty much.
But as always....we're now 'making' the 'old days' and memories of the future. Good or bad.

Anytime I'd say 'would you share this with us' or 'I want to share'...some personal experience...you always were bothered by it for some reason.

Thanks, twig. That's the way several here have done it...announced when they changed their userids.
I only asked because I really miss and highly enjoyed the posts from a user whose userid started with a 'Z'. And you have certain posting characteristics that she had. sorry...no offense meant.
