15 more days since Vendio acknowledged their customers on this issue. This is what I NON SUPPORT, especially for a serious issue such as this one. Thanks again for making us all wait and once again, no answers or support. Time to go somewhere else.

niceprice - we just emailed you direct on this issue, please see our message.
We are more than happy to assist. You can get around the problems that everyone has been reporting with the Vista operating system using some of the workarounds already mentioned.
We just wanted to verify as to which it was that you had specifically tried thus far that you were unable to get the program to run. (we also were just checking to see what your contact information is, to see if we can schedule a call to walk you through the setup process.)
I checked your account and it seems that you haven't had any active eBay listings since June of 2006, so im guessing that you list from a different Vendio account than the one your currently posting from. (so our apologies if you had contact information available already on your primary account that doesn't appear here.)

SOLUTION FOUND:
To fix the constant "closing" or crashing of Sales Manager Pro in Windows Vista:
1. In Windows Vista, Open Windows Explorer
2. Navigate to the Program Files directory
3. Right click on the Vendio directory
4. In the security tab, click on the Edit button.
5. One by one, hilight each of the groups or users listed, and check the Allow box next to Full Control.
6. Click the Apply button.
Permissions will be updated for all subdirectories and files under Vendio.
Vendio's install for Sales Manager Pro does not set the file permissions properly, so this process will checkmark the "Modify" box as well as others necessary. This will fix your crashing problems.
I also just purchased a computer with Windows Vista and I have experienced the same problems. But I am now running Sales Manager in the Windows 98 mode (as ishtar/Doug suggested) and it seems to be working. I'll keep my fingers crossed when I complete my first batch. I think I will just put one item in the batch to see if it works.
I still have the problem of not having anywhere to enter a name for a batch, but I found a way to do it. Just save the batch and it will automatically be named New Batch #1. Then close it and click on "File", "Open Batch" but before you open it, right click on it and then click "Rename". At that point you can give the batch a name of your choice. It's not a perfect solution (would be much easier if you could name it as usual) but it appears to be working and I think it is still better than "New Batch #1", etc.
