Near - How do you know that they think just like him? From the interviews I have seen with the kids, I don't think that's the case. Threy seem to enjoy disagreeing with their teacher.
Besides, aren't most people liberal when they are young?

After reading this thread I admit I wasn't sure what to think. So I asked my son who is in fact a GT student who takes mainly AP courses through his high school and extended courses through the University to listen to it. He laughed at some parts, agreed with others, and thought over all that the teacher was not demanding you agree with him in order to pass his class.
He said to raise a bigot you have to be one, to believe everything you hear is to be close minded, and to restrict different views and opinions (no matter how passionate) is a dis-service to all. He would not hesitate to take this class and felt anyone in it had to be exposed to different views from other sources as well. You do not reach AP level classes being unable to decipher and expound on materials presented in it from all angles.
And yes, he is in the 16 year old range. BTW, as a side note, THANK YOU fenix and prof on the Mac. He went last weekend and chose a new Mini. He said to be sure to thank you for the links as well.
