Auction Ace--I just got back over here after a hurricane and B&M shop restocking break. Thanks for the numbers!! One of the IOffer people posted what I think amounts to the top 10 selling categories on a support board at IO. It is August info that I just saw.It would be interesting to see how your listing numbers correlate with selling areas.
I am giving IO a third shot! Hey--tis the selling season and I want as many of my things out there as I can get. I have had some sales since I increased listings and answer some of the ALERTS from their Want boards.I have managed to find ways to have a better than plain looking shop and am changing my listings "look" as I add.
In ways --I am not planning on IO browsers for future sales-but looking to Search engine users to come in off the Net. This worked for me before. Perhaps it will again. Believe it or not----Not everyone uses eBay--or auctions. Lots of people can't be bothered wading through the listings. The free shop and the use of Key words has finally sunk into my head.
BTW--the Alerts with the lowballers are actually better than the newspaper comics for reading with a cup of tea!I just HAVE to see if they are selling something too and what their prices are.
And eBay has these lowballers too. I have had emails from them after an auction closed--offering to "give" me $2 for my $15 item. LOL!! These guys are pretty funny too.
Ioffer may not be for everyone--or not for me--But I am giving it my best shot from the shop angle.

Ioffer does try hard to succeed. They submit the sellers stores to search engines themselves. They listen to questions and complaints from sellers. I complained about the annoying/scrollong frames in stores and constantly having to log in to the site and both problems have been remedied.
Ebay must have had problems with bidders misusing the 'Ask the seller a question' format and has now instituted a limit of 5 per ebayer per day.

You learn most of the good ebay and computer stuff on the OTWA boards. Their posts run about 10 for every one on Vendio. They sometimes have threads about what they bought at garage sales for almost nothing and what they are getting for the items on ebay. Those are the best threads because you learn a lot and learn to to look for.

I will go look at the boards over there again. I used to go daily, but all the political junk turned me away.

I hadn't checked Otwa in awhile so last evening I compared eBay Community Discussions to the eBay Outlook. There were about 30 topics for each day. Only 9 on Otwa were ebay related whereas all 30 on Vendio were.
Though Otwa has some ebay discussions it's a nuisance to sort through all the fluff topics as the titles don't always reflect what the thread is about.

So does anyone wonder why auctionloser, bidsbids, calseller or whatever that load is calling himself today how he knows this. Could it be him sending all this nasty spam through the ebay system? Makes you wonder.
