Rumsfeld looks sick to me. I hadn't seen him in a few months and was kind of shocked at the way he looks. He's lost weight and his face looks thin - not in a good way. Has anyone else noticed?

Now I have never seen Linda or myself or any others call people names. People agree to disagree but that doesn't mean you can't address the poster in an adult manner. You and bigpeepa don't understand that there are two views for every thing that is posted in here and just because some don't like what you post you go back and you start the name calling. I don't see Kiara, KD or Helen doing it and I know they don't agree with some, well most, LOL, of what either Linda or I post but they still never call names. Be an adult address a poster in an adult manor. or maybe you can't as you are not an adult.

Libra, all that linda offers now is just a conspicuous presence with most of her hysterical, screaming and angry posts in bold type and capital letters...all signifying nothing but backbiting, lies and evasion. She refuses to acknowledge questions because she has no answers...simple as that.
It's rather embarrassing to watch while she makes such a desperate, last ditch effort to defend this administration and in the process self destructs.

She as I believe differently than others but still I address the poster by name and so does she. It doesn't matter what or how you post it is in how an answer is addressed. Name calling is childish and that is what I think about rusty and bigpeepa.
I have disagreed with you, KD & Kiara but sill we post to each other in a decent manner.
There are problems with both parties. I don't need Bigpeepa to keep printing about the deaths in Iraq. I know I read the paper. If I can read here I certainly can read the paper. Are we all illeterate in here except Bigpeepa. I think he thinks so.
I only posted after his insane posting about tornadoes, abortions. If he read that thread that abortions in the US far out weigh the deaths in Iraq but he had no answer to that. Liberals believe in abortion and Conservatives don't.
I could go search for things to post but I cannot change the world. One vote won't do it. Either can Bigpeepa or rusty. Why can't, no matter how they post the content of a thread stop the name calling. Maybe they should go to the OTWA where everyone agrees with each other, but then that wouldn't be a fun for Bigpeepa or rusty.
Most of her posts are C&P from the internet as rusty's and Bigpeepas but when we answer then the attack starts.

Libra - Linda is not the person she was a year ago. The more rational and reasonable person. This thread is a perfect example... she misrepresented something and when called on and presented with proof of her misrepresentation she went into retoric mode and tried to deflect that attention away from her own wrongdoings by pointing fingers at others.
Now most of the time, I'll agree with you when it comes to Peepa and his annoying habit of bastardizing names. It's childish, annoying, and counterproductive but in this particular case, I think it fits.

Libra, I have to agree with most here. Linda is not the same today as she was last summer. From what she's said so far, she got sick of defending herself against Crowfarm attacking her every post and decided to rebel. Problem is, she's taken it out on everyone - this board and otwa, calling us all liars and LOL a lot. She's even said our concern for her behaviour are all lies. With that in mind, maybe Bigpeepa and Rusty's post will make more sense to you. She's raked them over the coals but if they do the same to her, she can't handle it. Same thing she accused Crowfarm of doing to her, imo. (shrug)

I view lindak's descent as more gradual than others may see it. To me it started when she was unable to tolerate anyone being outspoken about not supporting Bush or his war in Iraq. It was a couple of years ago that she started accusing some of us of supporting Saddam and the terrorists and being anti-American and she became increasingly rude each time something was said that she didn't agree with.
When the situation didn't show improvement in Iraq and approval ratings sunk for Bush she lashed out more frequently with more bolding and more LOLs which showed her frustration.
It's silly for her to lose control and then blame Crowfarm or anyone else for the way she is. Each of us is responsible for our own actions and how we post.

I agree, Kiara.
I've never seen linda as rational or reasonable. During the last year she has simply become less rational and more unreasonable than ever.

Rusty, Whoever made that remark was telling a lie. I have a great deal of respect for you as one of the few here able to intelligently discuss any topic. The truth is that I cringe when linda attacks someone like you because I think, well there goes another good poster. I believe her annimosity toward every good and thoughtful poster is the reason that this board is now left with those who only want to discuss tawdry and uninteresting topics.

Bear, lindak may not approve of the media but that isn't an excuse for her to constantly attack her fellow posters and take it out on them.

Well, I guess it's good that some are still the same person they were a year ago.
Any other advice you would like to give on how to conduct ourselves and our posting habits?
So far from what i can tell, typos and name calling bad, misrepresentations and lying not a problem.
BTW - maybe not best to suggest that others use spell cheker one sentence after you misspell the vice presidents name.
As for your assumption that the retired generals that spoke out against Rumsfeld have been retired and know nothing, conside this... Three of them are the only retired generals that actually served in Iraq. I'd say that even being a year out of action, they have a much more realistic view than those that were never there.

There is not much difference between here and a blog... with this exception. When someone posts a link, like I did that references an article by a news agency with a name of a reporter or if I post a link that shows official police documents, those are based on facts. Do real reporters (Bill O'Reilly is NOT a reporter) make mistakes? Sure they do... but they also know that their careers and credibility can be shot as well by doing so. A blog on the other hand is nothing more than a website created by an individual or group of individuals that, as in this case, gives nothing but heresay. They don't actually support their information as fact. It is much more like an Op Ed piece in your local newspaper. It is nothing more than opinions. Now, an opinion can be supported by facts, but Linda's blog doesn't do so. No, what they did was post a fake Voter Registration Card to look like the real thing. You also claimed, "Liberals believe in abortion and Conservatives don't." That statement is false. I'm a Progressive Liberal and I do not believe in abortion. I believe it is the individuals choice in the matter, and since I am not a woman, the ultimate choice is theirs. This means that I will do what I could to encourage a friend to NOT have an abortion, but it still remains their choice. It is up to them, their Doctor, and their god if they choose to get them involved. I know many many Liberals and Conservatives that feel the same way. In fact, a true Conservative believes in the right of the individual, not the government to make that decision.
Libra... the fact of the matter is that Linda has insulted and berated anyone and everyone who disagrees with her. She has lied so often, that she makes Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, and Ann Coulter look like saints. The other fact you may find is that I have not once called you a name. Why? Even after all of DUMBO BUSH'S and RUMSFELD'S failures and the arrests of many CON-servative lawmakers. Even with many more CON-servative arrests to come this summer.
History has taught me to understand (but not condone) blind loyalty to failed political leaders like BUSH and RUMSFELD. I can see no reason why this failed CON-servative form of government can't have a small percentage of blind loyal supporters while it crumbles and destroys itself.
I understand even Hitler enjoyed a percentage of support from Loyal Nazis at the end of World War 2 when the Nazi political movement crumbled and collapsed.
