Might as well go play Solitaire... sigh...

It doesn't sound forthright to me. Seems we can never get a straight answer from PayPal on anything.
Upgrading site? Access issues that engineering is working on? High traffic but no reported technical difficulties? Which is it?

They are giving the same answer no matter what time people are calling!!

I am finally able to access my PayPal account as of 10:45pm PST.

I had a problem also.. I just tried to access my account and it kept telling me that the email address wasn't right??? I ended up using a secondary email address I have registered with them and it worked ok. However I did have a customer that tried to pay me through paypal and it told her it was the wrong email address.
When I logged in it had my primary email address showing.
I don't know what ta heck that was all about?
I sent my customer my secondary email addresses so she can try those.

Down again and this is on 11/28!!
First at 8:30 am and now at 10:10 am.
Cant even check on my status. Message comes back heavy traffic!!!

Just got in at 12: 10 PST.
it said " inbox temporarily unavailable" ; but I could access my tranaction history. No sign of my newbie bidder's payment ! AAArgh! I'm woddering whether to tell her to use snail mail , or try Paypal again. If she's tried once and it's stuck somewhere , will she be charged twice?
Frustrating.

In all fairness to paypal, they are a large secure site, and tech problems can take a while to work the bugs out.
I am not taking sides either way here, but I have been down this road myself with a small secure server upgrade, and can only image problems in one the size of theirs.
No need to argue the fact with me, I'm just giving you a tech's point of view.
If they were going to abscond with your dough, I think it would have been a full shutdown.
Phones, website, everything.
Now, I am covering my ears...la la la la...I can't hear you...la la la la...huh? whadya say?

Well it's 11/28 at 9:30 CST and they are still down. I was in earlier today a couple of times, but they are out to lunch. I wonder if everyone waited and then jammed the site again.
This happened months ago, part of the process to be sure, but it stinks if you have business to conduct.
