As per International Copyright Law, as soon as you create an item it is legally owned by you. You do not have to include a "copyright xxxx 2000" notice on your pictures. Just thought you'd like to know!

I honestly do not see a problem with a photo grab off of a site. If it is a family member or piece of art, then there should be a distinction. If it is a mass produced toy or product, what's the immediate difference? Scan another pic. In our industry there are sites that put up pictures of products just so people can grab them. The feeling is that it encourages the hobby. Maybe, maybe not. Eitherway, if product is selling -that is commerce and that does us all good. I'd rather live next to someone who can sustain their property than one who can not, cirumstances aside.

Everything that anyone creates -- art, photographs, writing, music, etc. is, by law, copyrighted from the moment of creation. (And as xfmerch said, it doesn't have to have a copyright notice attached to be copyrighted -- the law says it IS copyrighted as soon as it's created.) If someone else uses another person's creation without their permission, that is theft. Just because you think it's OK to use someone else's auction text or photos without their permission does NOT make it OK. Better ask first!

I guess this depends upon your standards, morals and ethics. If you see nothing wrong with copying and using someone else's work, well then that's your opinion and so be it.
eBay notified me Monday they ended and deleted this guy's auction. So that tells you how ebay feels about copying.
And it had went OVER his reserve Sunday night, ha ha.
Apparenty he is sooo cheap he can't even invest in photo software, as cropping would have gotten rid of my copyright.
Why does it bug me? Because if this item sold and the buyer, after paying over 1000.00 felt it was misrepresented, by using my photo with my copyright on it I am drawn into the dispute. It would be up to me to prove I am not involved with this lowlife stealer.
