Ron - if they are not paying taxes then how did they end up paying 20 billion into the Social Security system? Those numbers are provided by the SSA and GAO so they are not mythical and if you are paying Social Security tax then you are paying State and Federal too.
The fallacy is that most of these workers are being paid cash.

If you put down a suffient number of dependents, there is NO federal or state tax witheld. Ofcourse since the S.S. ID is bogus, there is no way to confirm this.

Fenix are you really that naive about witholding of money from someone's check?
Even the amount used to pay into SS on my check is not the same amount used to pay into Income tax.
Do you really believe Social Security is the same as Income tax, State tax? You know the taxes that are actually used to pay for services?
We have had contractors here even admit that 60-75% of an illegals pay is cash, so they also do not pay into unemployment and workers comp.
Illegals do not pay their fair share of any taxes here.

Ron - if I believed that Social Security tax was the same as State and Federal Tax do you really believe that I would have mentioned all three? I mentioned the three different types because they are three seperate entities. They are however all deducted from the same check at the same time.
BTW - I do enjoy the irony of you quoting poll numbers one post after you state that they can be skewed to serve whatever purpose you need.

Oh and fenix you do know that protests do have a backlash attached.
This is making people realize what a problem we have with illegals and I believe in the near future you will see some negative fallout for their protests.

You seem to be expecting some "big" all at once butt kicking on these illegals.
How about a little by little changes to their negative? Minute Men are declaring recruitment is up, Congress is stalled over the immigration bill, so these people are not safe to do as they wish.
INS can still do thier job and capture and deport these people.
Over 1100 were captured on a raid to a pallet company.

The pallet company investigation had been a year in the making so I would not call that backlash.
I don't expect some big action, to tell you the truth, I don't expect ANY action. I think there will be lots of talk and posturing, and "investigative reports". If you pay attention to the reports of the major companies that shut down yesterday, those are companies with major lobbying dollars and they are going to fight any serious attempt to limit their access to affordable labor.
Congress is "stalled" because there is too much preening for the public so they are putting amendments in bills that they know will cause the blocking of passage. In the meantime though, they can do their little speaches and TV interviews and talk aobut what they are trying to do while they blame the lack of success on someone else. Both parties are doing it. The House passed a bill they knew damn well would be vetoed, congress introduced a bill they knew would never get past the House.
Lets be honest here... the biggest threat to our nation is not immigration. It's the posturing preening idiots that run our government.
