profe...I was addressing how PELOSI and her husband actually DON'T hire the union members they SAY they SOOOooooo support. LOL

You have no proof who Pelosi hires and who she doesn't. Your article offers no substantiation.

...Not how YOU run your mexican/american ranch. I used my own example as at least a BIT of proof that who a farmer or rancher hires and how much he or she pays them is not necessarily something a scribbler would know or have access to. Your characterization of my ranch as "mexican/american" is interesting. I'll keep my speculation about why you need to distinguish it to myself for now.

...because your MAIN allegiance doesn't ONLY lie with America...but mexico too....and what helps THEM.

You don't know jack about my allegiance Linda, nor do you know anything about whether or not I agree with ANY of Pelosi's positions. What you think you know are suppositions on your part and nothing more.

Kiara, a goat buck can pretty much take care of business all day long if he's healthy. It's easy to see why goats have long been a symbol of fertility. Goats are sexually mature at 4-5 months of age and the doe is usually pregnant before she's a year old.A ram sheep is not quite as vigorous, but almost. Fortunately for the Bucks and the Rams, not all the girls come into heat at once. They space it out over about a month before they're all covered and happily pregnant.

Well....it appears that you too have a memory problem.

Yes, you and I have had two or three discussions on where you were born....if you're a US citizen or a Mexican citizen or have duel citizenship....if the US and Mexico went to war - where your allegiances would lie.

Yep, got your answers straight from you, profe. No
suppositions at all, profe.

But I HAVE drawn my on conclusions from your answers...and that is that you DO have a divided allegiance.

And you've also posted how you feel about our illegal issue. That is where I drew my conclusion that you are 'soft' on illegal immigration to the US.

And on pelosi hiring NON-union workers....anyone can verify it for themselves profe...it's quit easy to do so.

Maybe you can prove she doesn't. lol
Like pelosi denying it???? lol

more on her non-union vineyard workers....and not selling to union wineries.

Where was I born, Linda? Where does my allegiance lie? Your mind is a veritable factory of information, churning out facts created in situ, miraculously made out of thin air. I have stated that I have dual citizenship more than once. That's all you know for sure. The rest is pure speculation from your addled brain.

If you're so sure it so easy to PROVE whether Pelosi hires union farm workers, why don't you prove it because the article you quoted from doesn't. In addition, I've dug through the front page of the google search you provided and every page I read is basically a rewrite or quote of the same undocumented piece you originally posted. I'm not going to prove anything about her one way or the other. I didn't make any claims about her. YOU did, and have offered no proof other than a collection of blogs that all refer to your original piece.

Maybe she does hire illegals. Most California farms do. What's at issue is your specious "proof", which isn't proof at all.

I've never taken a strong position on Pelosi here. The fact of the matter is she is way too liberal for me in most areas. For me, that's not the point.
As I said, I'd vote for the devil himself to get rid of republican control of the congress. At this point, that's all that matters.

Linda says to the profe:

I've always had trouble believing that true patriots are what they claim when the have two different countries they either live in or love.

If you're willing....would you call yourself a patriot to the USA when you also have dual citizenship to Mexico?

profe answers: Of course I would.

Patriotic dissenters will work for changes they want to see.....

Linda asks: If there were a war or just a major disagreement with which country would you pledge your allegiance to? Mexico or America....IF they weren't both on the same side.

profe answers: It would depend upon how I felt about the issues that caused the war. I do not equate blind allegiance with patriotism, I equate it with ignorance.

It appears to me, based on something you said in a later post after the ones above, that you simply don't believe someone with dual citizenship can be a patriot. If that's the case, there's nothing else to discuss, as I'm not about to try and convince you otherwise. Talk about an exercise in futility.....and by the way, I say the pledge 5 times a week during the opening of my class.

Linda said: I'm not asking you to explain anything to me, profe. I have my own opinions. All I asked was what I asked.

You say it would
depend....and yet on everything that has come up for discussion that involves Mexico it appears to me that you side with them, rather than with the US.

You might be saying the pledge each day, because you are a teacher and that's what school children do.

Doesn't mean it can be assumed that you personally feel more committed/loyal to the US than you do to Mexico....and that's why I asked. And thank you for your honest answer.

I believe both of my posts today....PROVE my memory is MUCH better than your and helens...even though you'd both like to believe differently.

And the profe's answer to where he was born:

he said:

posted on August 27, 2005 05:05:52 PM

This ranch is currently part of the US. Before the Gadsden Purchase and the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, it was part of Mexico.

Before there was a Mexico, it was granted to my family by Spain. We made peace with the local indians here after Spain gave us tenancy. Real tenancy, in my opinion, was granted to us by the indigenous inhabitants of the area.

We have endured three governments. I am a Mexican Citizen because my parents were. I am a US citizen because my parents were, and because I was born on this ranch, which, as I said, is currently within the boundaries of the United States.

I consider myself first and foremost a citizen of my land, and secondarily a citizen of whatever country happens to overlap it.

As you might imagine, my perspective on citizenship is somewhat different from the average American, who stays in one place about 5-10 years, and has no real understanding of the connection between people and the land that nurtures them.

I hope this answers your questions.

I remember that exchange, what is your point in this? My statement about blind allegiance stands Linda. The Germans depended on blind allegiance in WWII, that's not patriotism in my book, it's stupidity. These remarks of yours are all the evidence anybody needs of the schizoid nature of your logic:

This:

If you're willing....would you call yourself a patriot to the USA when you also have dual citizenship to Mexico?

And This:

If there were a war or just a major disagreement with which country would you pledge your allegiance to? Mexico or America....IF they weren't both on the same side.

And finally THIS

I'm not asking you to explain anything to me, profe. I have my own opinions. All I asked was what I asked.

You didn't answer my question, where is it exactly you think I was born?

Wow, those goats and rams really do keep busy! I know Bush has mentioned his fond memories of sheep when he was in Scotland. Maybe he likes goats also so the book 'My Pet Goat' was more important to him than any enemy attacking his country.

I remember that discussion about Profe51's land too. I think it was about the same time they wanted to get Logansdad booted. Anyways, It pretty well ended like this when Profe51 said:

I'm with you, Helen....all done here m'self. Nothing to do now but sit back and wait for YellowPie to spin around fast enough to disappear up his own arsehole.

Only thing now is that you're doing the spinning, Lindak............ it could happen to you too if you go any faster.

I just came from a (D)Bob Casey for U.S. Senate rally. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we Pennsylvanians can send the number 3 man in the republican party Pricky Santorum packing.

In just one more day we have a change to put this country in a new direction just get out and vote.

Yep....voters let this administration know they want MANY things changed.

But I don't believe for one nano-second they were voting "FOR" the radical left and their ideological policies/platform."

Most dems who were voted in [not just holding on to their seats] were conservatives and moderates of the dem party. Others who voted for them were conservatives and moderates of the republican party too.

So, imo, voters were voting for CHANGE...and the only reason they voted for the dems was because MOST of the dems moved TO THE CENTER....[they weren't radical lefties] because basically they had no other choice IF they wanted to make a statement to their own party that they're acting too much like the dem party....pay attention...come back to our conservative ways.

What they were NOT doing....was supporting the positions of the radical left. LOL LOL

Linda - Maybe they weren't voting in the radical left, but what is certain is that they weren't voting back in the radical right. The neocon movement is officially over.

I'm all for a more middle of the road approach. At this point, I think it's the only one that will really work.

Well certainly see cheryl.

They offered NO solutions....they had NO platform...the ONLY reason they were elected is because the American voters were pissed at BOTH partys.

That could be see in ALL the "polls" so many on the left rely upon. Congress....as a whole....had a worse rating than did this President.

I also don't think most, other than hard core liberals BELIEVE that this President is/was a 'neocon'. LOL That's crazy...as it was that base/supporters that ALSO turned against him. They so called 'neocons' were upset with him too. He was acting too much like the dems.

But...we'll sure see if a party who offered nothing....will change a thing. I don't think they will, truely. But time will tell.

Now that's funny hellen. You have rarely supported our Nation. You're a European wanna be, imo. You're an Internationalist, imo. And you're further left than a socialist, imo.

As far as being 'born' here.....that's such a WEAK liberal argument. As adults we all can CHOOSE to move to ANY country in the world we want to. You should consider it. France would probably be your best bet. But then there are times when I think the USSR might be more appropriate for you. lol
