Muslim had absolutely nothing to do with it. Ellison ran in the most liberal district in the country. The actual election was held in the primary. Sad thing is, he won by the lowest margin in nearly 100 years. This district is an extremely poor, uneducated area in Minneapolis. The person who Ellison replaced didn't even have to campaign to win re-election. He would end up getting roughly 80% of the vote.
This time around, Ellison received only 56% of the vote. In reality, quite poor for this district.
I find it quite strange though that in fact on this board, it's the demomorons blasting this guy. He does deserve it, but so far no one here has been given a legite reason why.
Since you asked, here is the poop on this guy. At this time there are two known issues.
1) He has many outstanding, unpaid parking tickets that for some reason, are being over-looked.
2) He has missed paying his income taxes and still has an over-due tax bill. This alone should have and would have disqualified him in any other district. But because the area is one of the least educated in the nation, which will always go DFL, he was elected.

The large muslim population there was his main support. Are they some associated with those who were arrested as suspected terrorists a few years back?
There have been five or six states where muslims have been arrested because they were working on plots to do some destruction in our country. These people are terrorists....muslim terrorists. The way this administration had of catching them BEFORE they carrying out their murdering deeds...was/is working.
I fear for the changes that will be made to the PA and HLS now that the dems are in control.
The only solice that I have is the President's veto power AND reading that most of the newly elected dems were also conseratives and moderates....not the radical liberals who support and defend and try and convince us that the muslim faith is one of peace. I'd LOVE to see all of those 'peaceful' muslims SCREAMING out against the actions of their brothers and sisters in the muslim faith. All I see is silence to their dastardly deeds.
I think many American's are aware that we have American's who have chosen to change their religion to that of the muslim faith -they weren't 'born' into the faith.....especially many of our prisoners. SHE thinks because the date she SAW at the top of the DoD website was yesterday's date [from the 8th].....that means the article she posted FROM OCT. 4, 2001....was written on that date.

I agree, Stonecold, you most likely would have a better 'take' on something from your own local area. No disagreement from me there.
I'm just saying that in my first link...it was mentioned that the muslims who live in that area were looking/giving their support to him.
It was also my intent to make others aware that we do have a VERY quick, growing muslim population here in the US. And I don't want to see the same problems that the UK, France and Germany are dealing with - from THEIR muslim population - here in America.
The more political power they gain...the more influence of American politics they'll have.
Those were the main points I had hope to make.

Three U.S. soldiers and a Marine were killed Thursday in Iraq, the U.S. military said, bringing the number of Americans who have died in the country so far this month to 25. At least 105 U.S. forces died in October, the fourth highest monthly toll of the war.
Since the war started in March 2003, 2,845 members of the U.S. military have died, according to an Associated Press count.
On the audio tape made available on militant Web sites, the al-Qaida in Iraq leader also welcomed the Republican electoral defeat that led to the departure of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
"The al-Qaida army has 12,000 fighters in Iraq, and they have vowed to die for God's sake," a man introduced as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir said.
Al-Muhajir, also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri, also urged the U.S. to stay in Iraq so his group would have more opportunities to kill American troops. "We haven't had enough of your blood yet," he told the U.S.
Al-Muhajir became the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq after Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a U.S. airstrike in June. The tape could not be independently verified.
"The American people have put their feet on the right path by ... realizing their president's betrayal in supporting Israel," the terror leader said. "So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections."
Describing President Bush as "the most stupid president" in U.S. history, al-Masri reached out to the Muslim world and said his group was winning the war in Iraq faster than expected due to U.S. policies.
He said Bush's policies had allowed Iran to spread its influence in Afghanistan and Iraq after Washington toppled their Sunni rulers, and expanded Iran's reach into Syria and Lebanon.

But I believe it's now on DVD. Rent it if you can....it sure will open your eyes about radical islam and what muslims preach/believe and teach their little children.
