They're both still there. One of the sellers has a zero feedback rating and is in the UK and the other has a ( 19 ) feedback rating. Bidville doesn't care I guess.

How's this for a slogan .... ' Bidville - The place to list smut in non-restricted auction areas '

I bet the site is so messed up software-wise that they can't fix a simple remove an office auction routine.

I see it sinking way down

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BVLE.OB

and I see "the" two smut auctions are still there
http://www.bidville.com/src/index.asp

I refuse to believe that there are 400 new BV registrations every day and even if it's true, how many of the new registrations will buy or sell anything?

Due to the launch of an aggressive advertising campaign, membership growth has increased from 22 registrations per day to the current level of over 400 per day, with our mostly recent daily record exceeding 4,000 new memberships. Total membership has increased over 36% since August 31, 2003.

Ace, I agree those numbers are tough to swallow, and maybe the stockholders are getting a bit worried as well. I dont understand how the memberships are going up, but the listings remain stagnant. There are still thousands of double listings on the site. The end of the 1st quarter is coming to an end, so we shall see what happens.

It's the people that may be getting taken in with their savings that are the concern. The management may be manipulating the site's statistics to jack up the stock value and make money off of innocent ( and greedy ) investors. With all the Enron-like scandals that have transpired in recent years it seems a shame that that type of manipulation may still be going on unchecked.

The two smut auctions are still going and auto relisting over and over. A possible BV theme song comes to mind. From Woodstock the movie .... Give me a F! ... F! .. Give me a

Why don't you buy them and then they will be gone!!

He doesn't buy or sell anything anywhere. He sits at his computer and spends his time searching for the f-word at BV.

Both of these auctions are the actual titles of the items being sold.

It's the frickin' principal of the thing that a small auction site that paints itself as a 'just plain folks ' site allows these auctions to run in general auction areas. I suppose they'll be gone when the management suddenly pulls the plug on the site like they did at Carnaby.

There's an auction on ebay with the word "poopy" in it.
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=poopy
What if some little kid sees that? What will become of the world? Oh, the calamity!

My goodness, AuctionDOOFUS, thank you for shedding light on this most serious of matters. I did a search for ASS on dudville and had over 2000 results. http://www.bidville.com/search/word_search.asp?phrase_match=all&whole+words=no&shop_type=all&dollarsale=no&parent=0&search_span=title&search_limit=active&search_text=ass&sort_by=
Although none of the items were an ASS for sale, I certainly did see that naughtiest of naughty words 'ASS' in the results.
here is a sample:
comp'ASS'es and key chain with minature license plate 1957

decorative gold trimmed gl'ASS' horse

apex advertisement on mechanical pencil & br'ASS' ashtray

have typing, data entry, wp you need done? hire a virtual 'ASS'istant!!

p'ASS'ing down the dream - avon collectible figurine - paydirect over $5

johnny lightning 2002 cl'ASS'is holiday gold& white 56 ford t-bird,a beauty

I cannot believe that the insidious villians that run bidville would subject their users to partial matching, a very basic violation of a decent search. Perhaps this is the doings of an inexperienced/amateur programmer, I'm inclined to believe it's a deliberate act by a more ominous force. An indecent search on an indecent site being run by indecent management, managing indecent programmers, attracting indecent sellers selling indecent items, leading to an indecent stock performance. Bravo, AuctionDOOFUS, you've clearly outdone yourself this time. If it wasn't for you crack detective work I'm not sure if the public would ever become aware of this most indecent situation.

Since you mentioned "poopy" I tried the word "pee" and found the same indecent situation.

MsCuff and the cheerleading squad at BV think that the new BV customer service team is the best on earth and they often publically say so. Maybe that attitude will change now that the CS now longer cares about the content on the easily viewable of all areas of their site?

Somebody give this poor pathetic loser AuctionDOOFUS something to do. He obviously has way to much time on his hands. I mean I post here occasionally but this guy has over 3000 posts. Instead of sitting on these boards complaining why don't you really become an auction "ACE" and build your own site. With all the advice you give it ought to be a breeze for you. Hey AuctionLOSER I'll even donate a couple of old servers to you and I have some contacts that can host you for close to nothing. You can get a basic auction script software for little or nothing just make sure you pay for it. Don't get nabbed like your greasy spammer buddy Leo. http://www.sneakydave.com/forums/index.php?s=3d4181d695202481cc4e7de1d4e791cf&showtopic=2016&st=0&#entry29259

Let me know if you need the equipment, I'll consider it my good deed for the year.
