What a tempest in a teapot.
The jackets were made of real leather. Not naugahyde, not vinyl, not pleather. Whether it is one piece of hide or twenty does not alter the fact that the leather is genuine.
If the seller did not claim that the jackets were made from one piece of hide when they were patched, then he made no misrepresentations as to that. If the prospective bidder does not bother to enquire as to whether the jacket is patched or unpatched, then it is the buyer's problem.
" If they buy a jacket that they think is a
genuine leather full hide jacket and get a patch jacket. I am sure they are disillusioned." You cannot know what anyone else's assumptions are. You simply cannot. Nor can you say with any reasonable certainty that somewhere these coats do not reatil for $199. To charge this seller--or sellers like him--with being deceptive is unfair, and sounds to me as if it might be motivated by a bushel of sour grapes.

I'm really confused - I thought her original gripe was about the suggested retail price being misrepresented - now we're on to patched vs whole hide?
