I've got no involvement here but am following out of interest, and general disgust for liars and scam artists. If someone knows the facts for sure and doesn't mind backing them up, you could place bids on those new eBay auctions then RETRACT them with a statement of known facts. Like "Learned this email is same as for register of Alien, NARU'd by eBay for etc etc "

Just stick to the clear facts, ma'am. ;-0

The e-mail address for yahoo auctions is [email protected].

The employee that runs the yahoo auctions very well could have inadvertently used his own machine to send out notifications, and forget he was using his e-mail.

Yes, aliendistribution does own more than one website. Gee, that must another crime. Golly, who should we report this to, President Clinton?

Also yahoo auctions payments are sent to another location, we have three different facilities, in THREE different states. We have stated this from the very beginning, our auction listings even stated so! OH WAIT, I am sorry that must be a crime to! You are only allowed to operate in one place! Gee someone report COMPUSA!

It is also SHOCKING that a small company might have more than one e-mail address. I smell conspiracy here folks! The CIA needs to get involved.

We do not have another account on eBay, as we are still trying to resolve that matter. I will tell you this much, a very LARGE seller of computer hardware on eBay was NARU'd today in connection with the matter. You might want to look them up. Someone with a feedback rating over 9000+.

We are shipping systems, and will continue to ship them (or refund whichever people want depending on time factors). Regardless of what people here are saying or doing. It is funny that if we had indeed swindled hundreds of people, WHY then are we still in operation? Why are we still shipping computers and selling them? By now any law enforcement agency if a PROVEN crime had been committed (even in Mayberry) would have had everything shut down.

I am reminded that the company that makes the Barbie and Hotwheels Computers filed for bankruptcy this week, leaving thousands of people without computers or refunds, and notified them that the customers are considered secondary creditors before the primary ones (like banks) and will probably never see those funds. Yet, not a single word of fraud was made in this matter. Very interesting.

Yet a company still shipping machines (perhaps not in a timely manner) is being accused of fraud.

Fascinating.

I dunno....

I haven't bought a computer from AD, but have been watching this thread. I don't think AD has shown themselves in very good light with this last response. To be all sarky, when people are obviously concerned about not getting the PCs they have forked out lots of money for LONG AGO. What kind of business tactic is that?

And it is amazing to me that all the pleas for information remain unanswered, and AD only posts when suggestions are made that people take ACTION about their loss. I would have thought that AD staff would be far better engaged in completing and shipping orders, instead of reading and posting here.

It looks scammish to me, and if I had given AD my money 4 weeks or more ago in order to receive a PC in time for Christmas, I would be beyond being peeved. CHARGEBACK!!!! Do it now! Yes, you will not have a PC for Christmas, but would you anyway? At least you may have your money to buy another in the January Sales.

I don't understand why people are willing to give AD the benefit of the doubt repeatedly. Shipping times - not met. Web updates - not done. Emails - not answered. Sales - continuing. What does that tell you?

You have the nerve to put yourself in a catagory with Mattel or CompUSA? ...LMAO

You DO in fact have an alias selling account on ebay. And you know an awful lot about what's going on at ebay, and AW, but NOTHING about what's going on with computers that you were paid for 2 months ago!

Ooops...it was, er, an employee, yea, that's it! He a, well, a, well, he messed up and we are a huge conglomerate with three warehouse and manufacturing facilities, and a, I don't know why my hundreds of employees can't build 1 computer each in 2 months, but a, er, and a, humm...a...

Send these folks their computers/speakers or a full refund David, before it gets ugly legally, and QUICK.

Keep the e-mails coming people, and we will get this in the proper hands.

If you ordered a computer from Alien Distribution and it has not been delivered yet, and want a refund, please send your cancellation request in writing by mail at the following mailing address:

Alien Distribution
Refund Request
10121 Evergreen Way, #190
Everett, WA 98204

Please include your full name and address, phone number, and auction information such as:

Item Number
Price
e-mail address
How you paid (ie via paypal.com, money order, check)

If your machine is in transit and/or shipped, we cannot refund your money.

No further status will be given here on auctionwatch.com. Your request must be in writing and signed by you.

We will then refund your money via paypal.com (if you paid in that manner) or by check per our legal notice.

Can't get any easier than that, can it?

Thank you.

A few last comments to Pocono:

Mattel did not manufacture the barbie or hotwheels pc. A third party company did and that company filed for bankruptcy.

We do not have another account on eBay. Period. We have one account on eBay that we are working with eBay to get cleared up.

We never stated we were a "huge conglomerate". Quite the contrary, we stated we are small company with multiple facilities.

We do know what is going on over at eBay, yes.

I am finished with this discussion on auctionwatch. It started by answering the questions of legitimate customers, and not people who not even remotely related to the process.

Let me do a little side-by-side comparison here:

Yahoo auction
http://page.auctions.yahoo.com/auction/47024167

(unquestionably posted by AD, right? Address in Everett, WA), A similar one reportedly giving out email "[email protected]":

"We take Visa, Mastercard by PayPal.com. You can also pay by check (hold period), money order, or cashier's check. Payments that need verification of funds will take up to 10 business days to clear and then order is processed."

"Buyer pays $55.00 in the U.S.A. for each unit....... Shipping is not refundable."

"We use UPS and USPS. If we cannot insure the package to your destination, your order maybe cancelled."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So the AD poster here states unequivocally they do NOT have an auction running on Ebay?

Compare to Ebay listing which kicks out on search of email "[email protected]"

"We take Visa, MasterCard by PayPal.com. You can also pay by check (10 day hold period), money order, or cashier's check. Payments that need verification of funds will take up to 10 business days to clear and then order is processed."

"Buyer pays $10.00 in the U.S.A. for each unit. Shipping is not refundable.."

"We use UPS and USPS. If we cannot insure the package to your destination, your order maybe cancelled."

Note the incorrect usage of "maybe" instead of the correct "may be" in both texts. These people want to claim these two listings aren't by the same people? Hogwash. So what do you guys say? Let me try: "Oh our employee who used his own email accidentally on Yahoo put up a few Ebay ads that just happened to use our pre-prepared text all on his own. He has no connection to US when he does THAT. He's OUR employee only when he sends out Yahoo notifications."
Got any Florida swampland to sell, too?

My impression here is that a legitimate small company that had overextended itself would STOP doing any sorts of listings and rather concentrate on getting product out the door, OR refunds made in a timely fashion. Especially, a legitimate outfit would at all costs avoid posting anything that even edges to the appearance of lies.

Lies are like roaches: you see one or two and you better get the exterminators in a hurry.

I wouldn't dignify this stuff with the word "conspiracy." This is just pathetic, and unfortunately the sort of mess that is killing online auctions among sensible consumers.

Edited to omit the exact Ebay auction URL and obscure the email in question. If you still need to delete, go ahead, I understand, but I don't wish to reveal my email to these people with an invite.

Would I send for my refund "in writing"??? Not on your life! If I paid by Credit Card, I would be asking for a Chargeback, especially if I have been waiting for WEEKS for delivery. If I felt kind, I would perhaps couple this with an email notification of my intention to seek a refund.

Why on EARTH would anyone need to WRITE? What is wrong with email? This just seems to me like a time-buying ruse.

It's another delaying tactic.

He's buying time, and also he will only have to deal only with the FEW people here on AW that see this offer.

He'll get your letters, and then turn around and tell you that it has shipped.

He can PayPal each one of you RIGHT NOW if he were sincere!, but that won't happen...

Come on Alien, it's time to put up or shut up.

Give these folks their money!!!

Because AlienDistribution denies they have more than one account at eBay, would you kindly send a courtesy invitation to the eBay Seller you have named in your previous post(CCing it to [email protected])?

I understand that you (and other Users) believe it is the same Seller - if you send the invitation to the discussion I will, in this instance, waive the 24 hour lockdown period and allow the discussion to continue. If the invitation is not issued, I will have to delete the posts containing the identifying info.

Thanks for your cooperation and happy holidays.

Good morning all: There are still no changes on Aliens site! They are angry with Pocono and say they won't repond on AW again. Isn't it ironic? They mess up, get angry when called out, and STOP the ONLY form of "DIRECT COMMUNICATION" that their waiting customers has had with them! I have written several messages to them here and the only time they acknowledged me was to tell me they didn't know who I was! They never replied to the reasonable questions that I expected answers to. Their pat answers are as outdated as our UPDATED AUCTION STATUS! I have contacted a member of my family who is a Judge and he is having someone look into everything I have shown him. I've been told that this process will take time for them to look into, but for whatever it's worth I WON'T QUIT UNTIL I GET SOME SATISFACTION!

"AD PHONE HOME....." "AD PHONE HOME...." ATLEAST COMPLY WITH YOUR OWN PROMISES TO MAKE UPDATES TO YOUR SITE, HOURLY! FOR EVERY HOUR THAT I DON'T GET AN UPDATED RESPONSE FROM YOU, YOU AND THE REST OF THE PUBLIC WILL CONTINUE TO GET UPDATED RESPONSES FROM ME.

EVERYONE INVOLVED, PLEASE KEEP THIS DISCUSSION OPEN!

Michelle,

First off, this is in NO way challenging your moderation, but simply a plea.

I ask that you please understand that we are discussing a public BUSINESS here, and not a member directly.

There has been "ebay sucks" and "paypal sucks" and every other "this company sucks" threads, well, "Alien Distribution Co. Sucks" as well, and there are several hundred people that have paid for weeks and months ago, and still not received their computer systems/complete orders from this BUSINESS that is now under investigation by various legal and government authorities.

I have been sure to state ONLY facts that I can back up, and produce proof for.

I understand your need to do your job, and you are excellent at it! But PLEASE, do not cut off these folks from the ONLY avenue of communication that they are getting from this dispicable, uncaring, unprofessional, amaturely run public business with THREE manufacturing facilities <grin> known as ALIEN DISTRIBUTION.

There are FAR more people who are looking into, or who have paid money to Alien Distribution reading this thread, then you know.

If REFUNDS are not given via PAYPAL and updated information is not posted HERE as well as on their WEBSITE by midnight TONIGHT, then the MEDIA will be notified of this "Christmas Scrooge" and then at least it will be noted that AW was at least "helpful" in getting these people some help.

Thank you!

Pocono,

If you wish to question a moderation decision please do so in the moderator's corner from this time forward.

Since Michelle is not here at this time, I will tell you that to discuss a bad situation with a Company (i.e. Paypal) is very different from confronting/discussing/accusing a person (i.e. Paypaldamon). Abusive and abrasive discussion when directed to a Company Rep is outside the bounds of the Guidelines, just as it is to another Community Member.

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even an Alien.

Alien; help us to have faith in you, up date the site so we can see what has shipped. By not telling us (your customers) what is going on you put yourself under more scrutiny. Let us see the tracking numbers for auctions, #472329111 and # 481491062. Seeing that the last visibly update to the site was on 12/08/00. Give me a good reason to wait for my computer. How would you feel if it were you waiting and waiting for an answer? Wondering if you have been screwed for Christmas.

ALIEN DISTRIBUTION COMPANY is having a dandy Christmas, what with the $100,000.+ that they have collected on these sales alone.

What does it matter if YOUR Christmas is ruined?

No need to pout, as the wheels of justice are turning.

I see a very bleek New Nears for the ALIEN DISTRIBUTION COMPANY.

Your chances of getting your system might be 50/50, but then again, they may be "20/20"

For goodness sake, people, WAKE UP!

It is Christmas Eve... why on earth should you "have faith" in the promise to receive your computers, or the remaining bits of your computers?

Take appropriate action NOW... before the holiday closedown. How many weeks past the promised delivery are you going to wait?

Pocono, is that 20/20 in HINDSIGHT?
